Just got back from WDW Monday. DH went to the mail box and to our surprise we recieved a post card in the mail for $49 for Value and $79 for Moderates (standard view). We immediately called and got waterview rooms at the CSR for $94. It will be our birthdays (DH, DS (8months) and mine). What a great suprise to come home to!

from experience - when do the December AP rates usually come out?

... and was I mistaken to read in an earlier post that they did not offer December AP rates last year?

Waiting for the AP rates for the POFQ 12/2-12/7. I got the AAA rate now but would love an AP rate. We got the POFQ this past June for $82.56 including tax, would like that rate again.

Were going 11/28- 12/5 - 5 @ POR and 3 @ AKL, there's rumor of discounts coming though. - other than our AAA. We could use the extra savings as we need 5 person rooms-- ( they penalize us too much for having more than 4), either way WDW will get the money. Maybe they know that. Originally booker 5+2 in early Nov but decided to change for the Christmas environment . Our first MVMCP and all of the Surroundings, can't wait to see my three's eyes!!!!!!!! I called Wed morning and asked about the rate at the AKL for Dec 18 sav view. I didn't ask for AP or AAA or anything and the CM said $149.99 per night. I just about fell out of my chair. I grabbed 2 rooms. When I asked him what type of discount that was he said that was just the rate the computer provided based on my info.

We joined DVC many years ago and it has been a while since we stayed at a cash based resort but I remember having to get the right cm just to cooperate to look for rates.

I am waiting like crazy for AP for dec9-12 for WL. Should book first and then apply rates when they come out?

I keep going back and forth about whether I should go ahead and book something or wait. We're going December 14-18 and I really want either the Grand Floridian or Wilderness Lodge. We have five people though, so WL may be harder to get. Do they have many rooms for 5?
