Waiting for August Hours - All hours are up!!

well this will be my third year of college, i did my first two at home at community college. so its basically like i did HS for 6 years but the two years at community college there was no social interaction! haha i am sooooooo ready for away college!!! lol

That will be really exciting then!
I'm going to stay at home until I get my own place... but I feel like I'm on my own sometimes, when I can't get rides places, or I come home to an empty house, and I'm on my own for dinner. (My mom is on these boards too, so I hope she doesn't see this!)


On a different note.....I hope the hours are posted today! I feel like this vacation is dictating my life - these past few months have been insane. I just want to finish most of my planning, and then relax. As soon as I make my ADRs later this month, I can breathe again.

We use the Magical Express so for us it's easier to just stay on Disney property. We are in North Houston close to Bush Intl. We try to leave on an early flight and come home on a late flight. This time however we may stay until that Sunday and take an early flight so that we can come home and have a 1/2 day to unpack before school starts! I told DH that we have to have everything ready for school before we leave! Clothes set out into pre-made outfits ( a weeks worth) for every member of the house, Backpack packed, every detail done and ready! That way I can relax while I'm there and not think about everything I need to do when we get home! Whew! I don't know what is going to be more crazy...getting ready for the trip or school!!!

Yeah that's true. We're driving (yuck) so we don't have to worry about where we stay. I think we plan on leaving here around 2pm Saturday, stopping for the night at around 1am before we get to Tallahassee, then leaving at 8am for the rest of the couple hours to Disney. We live near 610E/I10E so not too far from you Where are you guys staying?

I'll make sure we have at least the first day's worth of stuff out before we leave, hopefully I'll have time to get everything lol.

Well it is Tuesday morning here, I wonder if the hours will be out by the time I get back from work at 2pm Florida time. Probably not! But at least being at work today means I can't keep obsessivly checking the hours as much!! Here's hoping we see something at some point today.

I feel like I have been studying for a major exam and when I show up to take the test--its the wrong day!

When this mess first started I emailed the Disney site thinking there must be some technical problem if you can select August hours but the calendar was blank.

I think it is now time for a proper email!

Wow!! I can't believe the serious stress these park hours are causing. Not sure if sending an email is going to do any thing. Basically what are you saying? where are the park hours? even if you do recieve a reply, I'm thinking it will be a computer generated response. "thank you for contacting disney etc, etc. " Really can't imagine some Jr. executive getting involved over park hours.

Any way, park hours will be released when Disney releases them. I don't think Disney is guaranteeing any specific date so it's their call. Chill folks.

I didn't read this whole thread, just the last few pages, so I'm sorry if this has been mentioned already, but I'm on another disney message board and one of the people there said they called and asked when August hours will be out. Apparently the CM told this person they won't be out for about 2 weeks. Everyone is really upset and they have all been calling and emailing so maybe you guys should try that too. Maybe this CM didn't know what he/she was talking about, but it is a little strange that it's May 5 and no hours yet.

I'm expecting to go through the same thing next month when I'm waiting for September hours. It's bad enough that half my trip is in October so I basically have to wing it for the last couple of days, but now knowing I won't have Sept. hours until whenever Disney feels like releasing them is really frustrating! Good luck!

I have sent two emails, with no response. I've also called and spoken to two CM's. One from dining and one the hours choice on the automated system. Both asked me to hold for a few minutes and both said that hours would come out after the 15th. I have been hoping that they are wrong... but the later it gets, the more i think they might be right!

I feel terrible because this is the first time that I've ever been really upset with Disney. There have been times when i didn't agree a policy or something like that, but this time is different. This time they are standing up to their end of the bargain! WE have to call 90 days prior (if we want a decent chance to get the restaurants and times that we would like), but they don't have to post hours until they are darn good and ready! I always praised Disney for the customer service, but not this time! This is just plain wrong!

That's not working so well considering we still don't have hours.

I agree - nothing anyone can do about it. Disney doesn't have to do anything unfortunatately - like it or not.

Have kids? Ever tried to make reservations for a character meal they wanted to go to, and couldn't get in? I have. It's not something I care much for.

Well,, When they say park hours are released 90 out yeah they do say that to be a specific time ..... 90 days out was on sunday...... Some people dont plan as much but I want the park hours so i get the most time in the parks and i dont fell rushed when i am enjoying a meal and I also like to plan my days around EMH at night.. Since I am not a huge fan of getting up early on my vacation

Tomorrow is my day to call in my ADRS, so here is hoping for the best! I am using the pattern that seems to be on TGM as far as which parks (as well as touringplans.com recommendations), and we have park hoppers so if I am wrong and I cannot get new ADRS for the days we will be in the park then I guess we will hop. The main one I am worried about is Cali Grill, on Friday night (8/7). One, will they even have Wishes that night, and two, what time will it be? I don't know for sure what time to make our ressie b/c I don't know when the show is, and I don't want to finish supper too early. We aren't even going to be in MK that day (I have us at Epcot) but it was the only day I could really fit it in. (have CP for dinner on our MK day -DS really wants the character meals)

Positive thoughts that today will be the day (although there seem to be more and more that are saying CMs told them 2 weeks - heres to hoping they all spoke to the same CM)

I asked if they'd be released today, and I got "definitely", so it sounds exactly as reliable as the phone CMs have been.
