Wait until you here our about day...

If you can get there by opening time you should be fine. There's lots of shows at the studios so you could potentially get a nap in (if you can sleep through loud noises).

Good luck- sounds like a story that will turn into family legend!

Ooh! Ooh! The place to nap would be on the Great Movie Ride, right up front by the CM doing the narration...! ;)

Hey everyone,
So we are going to WDW for 4 days. Its me, my boyfriend, his twin(first time), and their friend. We live in Louisiana and we're driving and leaving on November 24 at about 8pm; it takes about 10-12 hours to get there. So after driving through the night the boys insist on going to Hollywood studios for opening at 9am! I don't know if itsounds as crazy as I think it is but we will be driving all night and going straight to a park. Talk about exhausted. I tried to see I they would want to sleep but they say they will be to excited..20 year olds. Haha. I am excited to go and do the park though.
Does anyone know how Hollywood studios is on thanksgiving? Do touthknk they will reach capacity?
We do plan on buying our tickets online and having them sent to us so that will save time.

I don't know how you are after being up over 24 hrs but if it were up to me I would spent the time poolside and relax to have Friday the first day at the parks. The kids might get some sleep on the drive but how much will the driver get?. And after making 5 trips and 3 of which we went straight to the parks, I would say relax and rest. After all you are on a much needed vacation right?:confused3

We're from Louisiana too and when we used to drive, we'd also go straight to a park.

1. Theme park parking is free if you are staying at a Disney hotel. If you stop by your hotel and check-in first then you'll be given a parking pass to park for free at Hollywood Studios.

2. Toy Story Mania is currently the most popular attraction at HS. You should go directly to it at rope drop and either ride or obtain FastPasses. Chances are you all will REALLY love this one! Look for YouTube video to get an idea of the attraction. Also, there is a post somewhere (can someone help me out here?) that lists tips for racking up points, especially when working with the person riding with you. We did this and it was a blast!

3. Understand the FastPass system thoroughly before you go and then use it while there during a holiday week....it will save you A LOT of waiting in line.

4. Ya'll are gonna have a terrific time!

My boys (20's) both have night jobs and are often just going to bed at 6am. We have a 6am flight, arriving 9am, and I'm wondering if they're going to want to jump right in rather than go to bed.

I'm self employed and I often pull all-nighters to meet an important deadline. If you're all used to all-nighters, you might be fine. But if not, it might take you a couple days to fully recover. The worse thing about all-nighters is that it can mess up your digestive system and make you feel extra nausous (or worse) on certain rides.

About 8 years ago my sister, our mother and I and our 5 kids (all 5 and under) drove 24 hours from MA without stopping to sleep. We each took turns driving. We left at 7 Am on a Friday and arrived at ASMO on Saturday at 7AM. We were actually overtired and ready to go when we got there. We checked in (our room was ready) and went to the MK for park opening. We crashed hard by the time the afternoon hit, but we would not have been able to sleep when we arrived. We ( the adults) were too excited.

Our first trip to WDW we did a red eye from west coast - no sleep - went right into Epcot for the remainder of the day. To this day I don't remember that day or the details of the attractions we went on. (Good thing we had scheduled several days and returned to Epcot.) Just too sleep deprived. And I was in my 20's with plenty of energy. But, you know yourself best so if you really want to give it a shot -good luck!

Do it all the time. Once you pass through the sign for some reason i'm not tired anymore!!

Am I reading this right? You're only going to WDW for one day???! I don't know if I could be on property and miss the other 3 parks, or at the very least MK:eek:
Well, whatever the reason, you'll have fun:goodvibes
We normally leave from Louisiana around 5 a.m. and make it there by dinner.

Oh, Who Dat and Geaux Tigers:goodvibes

When we go straight through.. it's usually depart by 11 pm.. and pull in to SSR around 10 am Florida time..
