My family is landing in Orlando around midnight, one night in June. How quick is Magical Express service? Will I be up until 3am waiting for my luggage in my room? We are staying at POR. I am hoping that I won't have a long wait because of the late hour--no long lines hopefully.

It waut thass very good for us early morning, but that is really early.y the time we checked in.

We arrived after 11 PM last Sept. There was a little wait time for the bus but not too bad. They take your luggage to a holding room if you arrive late at night. Just wake up the next morning and go get it or call down for it.

To the OP - this has nothing to do with DME, but I see you're from Louisiana, and your staying at Port Orleans? Why not just go see the real thing?

BTW - from Baton Rouge myself.

you can do 1 of 2 things 1) don't put your ME tags & get the luggage yourself or 2) pack a carry on with the things you will need for the nite.

Yes, I am from Louisiana (Delcambre--25 miles south of Lafayette), but I don't live there anymore. My husband is in the USMC and we live in Monterey, CA. He is presently attending the Naval Postgraduate School. As for why we are staying at POR--Shades of Green was booked up and we have 3 kids, so POR was really our only choice since the All Star Resorts couldn't accomodate a family of 5 when I booked. My husband is a graduate of LSU and I am a graduate of USL (now UL). Go Tigers! Go Cajuns!

And, yes, I have a layover in The Big Easy on my way back here..........Can't wait for some beignets!:jester:

Ah, well, that makes perfect sense. What better way to get a feel for home? Hope you guys have a great trip!

We arrived at POR late in the evening and they had misplaced two bags. It was very hard to figure out who to contact late at night. They did try to help and eventually found them. You are better off letting them hold them until morning and just take your pjs/toiletries for night time with you on carryon.

Thanks so much everyone for the tips about Magical Express.........

BTown...Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler! I hope New Orleans (and Baton Rouge) get back to normal soon! :thumbsup2

Bozley.....Semper Fi! I hope you (or your Marine) stay safe. pug:

Just for the record, the "they" that misdirected the two bags could easily have been the airlines (they're really good at that kind of thing :))
