"W" Anyone going?

I am quite looking forward to seeing this film. Everyone has been saying its great a friend of mine went to a screening - I dont' know how he pulled that off!!

He said it really was a great film and Josh Brolin is fantastic and will probably get an Oscar for his portrayl of W.

Anyone else going to see it when it comes out on Oct. 17th?

Not me. I find it distasteful to make a movie that mocks a sitting President. And I would feel the same way if it were a liberal President as I do about our current President. It just rubs me the wrong way entirely.

Do you think it will be a fair portrayal? I don't, that's why I won't go to see it. It would be like watching a movie about Bill Clinton written and directed by Rush Limbaugh. Entertaining, maybe, but based in any reality, unlikely.

It looks funny, but there is no way to know how accurate it is (if at all). But then I don't look at movies for biographical info anyway, no movie maker gets "based on a real story" anywhere close to what actually happened, no matter who the subject is.

I got the impression from the commercials that this was supposed to be comedy? Is it supposed to be a "real" account??? I didn't know Oliver Stone directed. It just looked like a stupid B level farce.

But how many will look at it and actually believe it for fact. Kind of what people are doing with the SNL skits don't people realize those are actors and not actually the real people or even what the real people are actually saying!
