I'm planning our June'07 trip, and had the following idea for our arrival day.

This will be our 2nd trip as DVC members, and I would like to visit VWL to look around since we didn't have time to see it last June. I also would like to take the kids to the Hoop de Doo show (from what I've read they'll LOVE it :goodvibes ).

We will be driving and should arrive at BWV to check in before noon.

My question is can we drive to VWL and do DVC valet, look around VWL, head to MK via boat for awhile, then return via boat to FW for the (5:00?)Hoop de Doo, then (bus?) back up to VWL to pool hop or head home (BWV)?

DH and I don't want to break any DVC rules. Just interested in finding a way to maximize our time on arrival day and fit in a VWL visit and a Hoop de Doo show.

Thanks!

Unless you are a guest at the VWL (or WL) or have an ADR at one of the WL restaurants, I am not sure you will even be allowed past the security gate.

I'm sure someone else here on the DIS will know this for certain.

We have often stayed at BWV and gone to VWL just to show guests around. The guards look at the parking pass and ask for ID but have always let us through.
It is not okay to park at any resort just to be able to go and visit a park. That being said, I don't know who actually monitors this, at least at VWL. I don't know if there is a bus from FW to VWL.

DVC members get free Valet at DVC resorts that offer it even when not staying on property. However, parking at the resort for park attendance is technically not allowed. You'll have to make the final call.

As Dean said your only issue is going to a park. It is possible the Valet will ask where you going, we were asked this summer when visiting other resorts for dining.
