We are going to be staying at the VWL in May. My aunt is joining us for her first trip to WDW. We have 9 people going and will be staying in a 2 br and a 1 br. My aunt gets the sofabed in the 1br and I'm so afraid her week is going to be spoiled by an uncomfortable bed. Have any of you actually slept on the sofabeds at the VWL? If so please tell me you slept okay. Maybe I should bring along an aerobed just in case?

hi: i've never used the sofa bed personally; i always get the king size bed in the mbr. people who have stayed on the sofa bed while with us include my mom (age 74 on that trip-no she didn't want the regular bed), a couple of brothers and their wives, and various teens and twenties. the mattresses were a bit thin for the heavier people. you may want to bring the aerobed just in case.

It wasn't "terribly" uncomfortable and definitely not the worst pull out I've slept on - but it is still a sofa bed. It gets the job done. By the time we hit the bed we are so tired I could sleep on a rock. An aerobed has it's drawbacks, too. Not all that easy for some older WDW lovers to get up off the floor. As they say - six of one, half a dozen of another.

I wonder if I could take the sofa bed mattress off and use the aerobed in its place?

Why do that? Just put the aerobed on top of the sofabed mattress.

My bil and 9-yo ds bunked on the sofabed for a week during December, and had no complaints whatsoever. :)

We were there over Christmas and neither of my kids, who slept on the VWL sofa bed, complained. If they are uncomfortable, my kids speak up immediately!

We were there in May and 20yr old DS, all 6'4" 255 lbs of him slept on the sofa bed. And he did it for about 10 hrs a day! But he can sleep anywhere LOL
Really, he said it wasn't too bad, so enjoy
