My kids love the cabins at FW and we do to but I'm wondering if a 1 bedroom villa at wilderness lodge would be worth the extra $100+ a night? Or maybe I'm just dying to stay at WL and need to justify the expense!

Anyway, I like having a seperate bedroom as I need some time to wind down and don't enjoy lights out at the same time as the kids (at least not for more than a weekend). I know the 1 bedroom villa would be more spacious than the cabins and have the washer/dryer right there. What else makes it worth the $100+ a night? Hope you guys will share your views so I can stop vascillating on this reservation!

btw, because of our dates, even renting points at $9 each - which is iffy, would make VWL $100 more a night.

Convince me one way or the other - please!!

If you can afford it - go for it. WL is a really special experience - were it on the monorail, I think I'd stay there every time. You can easily walk or take the boat over and let the kids visit Fort Wilderness. And make sure they check out the kids programs at WL - the kids I watched in it were having the time of their life!

And they'll love having breakfast at WL and asking for the ketchup - if they still do their thing with that!:D

Don't forget the whirlpool tub in the 1 & 2 bedroom villas! ;)

Seriously, the Villas are really lovely - a premium experience. You'll have a full sized kitchen with all dishes & utensils. There's either a DVD player or VCR in the living room (used to be all VCRs, but I think they may be switching over). The pools at Wilderness lodge are great, as well as the restaurants. Can you tell VWL is my favorite resort?
