VWL how far from main hotel

Hi everyone,
Quick question:
How far are the villas from the main hotel/boat landing to MK
We are hoping to go in early September with Parents (77yr) and 22 month old son. We were considering renting points and staying at the vwl because it seems the easiest to get to MK (by boat)

To be honest it's not that close at all. You would be much closer to the busses if you booked VWL

I don't think there is bus service to the MK from WL/VWL. But if your parents can handle walking in the parks, the walk to the docks should be too difficult. Request a room near the elevator. It's over 600 ft to the last room from the elevator so a room near the elevator could knock off about 2 football fields.

The villas are no farther than the normal hotel, depending on what part of the main lodge you might be in. Also, you are actually closer to the bus stop.

When we stayed there a year ago, I'm sure I saw busses to all parks, including MK. The villas is a few hundred feet (under a covered wooden bridge walkway) from the main lodge. The bus stop is about halfway from the villas to the main lodge and is covered as well. I think the bus takes you to the TTCenter and you catch the monorail to the MK.

To get to the boat dock, you either go through the main lodge or take a sidewalk out the back of the villas by the quiet pool, and walk on the sidewalk to the boat dock. I think the boat takes you right to the MK and not the TTCenter.

We didn't go to the parks on the trip when we stayed at VWL, but I believe this is correct. If not, hopefully someone will correct me.

The boat goes straight to MK, not the TTC.

To my recollection, there has never been a bus directly to MK from WL.

I believe the OP was asking only about the boats. The villas are a pretty good distance from the boat dock. You can see the start of the boat dock in the upper right hand of this picture, straight out from the edge of the WL farthest point. The villas are the red roofed buildings. Definitely ask to be near the elevators as this will put you closest to the WL and shorten your walk to the dock a bit.

I just returned from the VWL and bus service to the MK is not/not available.

You can take a bus to the transportation and ticket center and take either the boat or monorail to the MK.

If you walk to the boat by way of the quite pool, its not that far. And a pretty level walk. You will love walking over to fort wilderness with your little one. There are paved trails, you can also rent one of thoss big bikes that seat 4 and peddle over. We had a blast.

We stayed at VWL this past November. It's much faster to catch a bus to TTC and then to MK than to take the boat. We stood waiting for the boat for over 20 min and then there was the 10 min (?) or so boat ride going to MK. The bus to TTC and monorail to MK only took us 15 min total. We only took the boat that one time.
