VWL availability at 7 mos for Summer '11

I know this is yet another question asking people to guess availability but I haven't seen much discussion about the VWL so I thought I'd ask. We own at BLT and would like to do a split stay in early June of 2011. From what I've heard, VWL is a smaller resort so I was wondering if availability is likely to be there at the 7 month mark?

How do owners go about such a trip? Do I book 2 consecutive stays at BLT at 11 months and then cancel 1 if another resort is available at 7 months? From what I understand, I don't think I can just drop a few days off of a 7 day reservation - I'd have to cancel then completely rebook 2 shorter stays, is that right?

I booked VWL at 7 months for July this year and didn't have a problem. It was for a studio, so I don't know if that made a difference or not.

As for your other question I am sure you will get lots of good advice from other people on the boards, I have always just called DVC with questions like that as well and they have always been super helpful.
