Vtech V Reader

My daughter turned 6 in July & used her birthday money to buy the pink one at Walmart. She loves it & uses it all the time. I have a Kindle & she wanted to have her own reader like mom. It has a lot of cool features built in & she got 3 books free online when we registered it. She will be getting more of the add on books for Christmas. :thumbsup2

I am a big fan of Leapfrog products and their new ones really raise the bar on fun learning toys. We have a Leapster Explorer and just got the LeapPad Explorer. Games are interchangeable between both. The Leapster is more of a gaming unit, of course all of Leapfrogs games are learning based. The LeapPad, while it can play those games, doesn't have the extra physical buttons for games and instead displays them on the touch screen. The area that the LeapPad excels is digital books. My DS(6) just earned the Cars 2 Ultra E-Book app on Friday. He plays it as often as I'll allow and has already learned new vocabulary (which you can customize via your parent log in on your computer) and loved recording his own voice to read the story. It is seriously cool! My DD is 4 and she loves both Explorers too!
