Vow Renewal
HI Guys

Just wondered if anyone has had their vows renewed - Intimate package - and can recommend it. Hoping to hear back from Disney Weddings in the next couple of days re an enquiry I made earlier - Its our 10th Wedding Anniversary next year and thought it would be a good way to mark the occasion.

Thanks

February 2007 will be my 10th anniversary and I would love to consider doing this. Please update your thread with the info you receive in response to your query from Disney. I will be following this one with great interest.

PS Am I the only person that thinks the bride icon :bride: looks like a pink mummy? :rotfl:

I can absolutely recommend the vow renewal service Disney has available. Our family went on a DW trip in 2004. My husband had read about the vow renewal and decided to surprise me with the event for our 13th anniversary. He and my sister-in-law managed to keep the whole thing a secret until we were walking up to the gazebo at the Beach Club (I was told we were going to a fancy dinner that required we all dress up). Everything about the ceremony was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to you, what a surprize.

You might want to check the Dis wedding forum towards the bottom below trasportation and all. They have people on that forum who are doing vow renewal and the big weddings/and or honeymoons like me and my dfh. You can get some ideas there on the vow renewal, and also tips. I called about the intimate package and it starts around 2500, but we were looking at doing something much more elaborate. In a nutshell the wedding planner for Disney had NEVER done one like we wanted to so she was going to need to call head people at disney and see if it was possible since we wanted a part of the park and all. It was a very big ordeal so I told her if it is going to take that much red tape to go through cause of trademarks with chars and shutting down the park early and all for us to pull this off and it could take months just to get it approved it would be better just to have a nice wedding where we are from then the honeymoon in Disney we have never been. I wanted my themed wedding, but the way she spoke to us about it it was going to be a very big process to get disney to ok the trademarked chars, and shutting the park down early for us to use one of the attractions as the location. :bride:

Hi Trista

I have provisionally booked the Yacht and Beach Club Gazebo for 5.00pm on our anniversary date. Disney weddings hold it for about two weeks until they receive a deposit. We are having the INTIMATE package (about $2500) which covers just about everything - we will probably only have our children as guests although are debating whether to encourgae the in laws to come with us . We are also thinking of asking two long lost friends who live in Sarrasota and who were at our original wedding in the UK.

I'm also probably going to book Minnie and Mickey as a surprise for the children.
The package does not include an officiant, so we're in the process of finding one.

The wedding planner at Disney is lovely and really efficient and helpful - which is great when you're doing it long distance like us. We're thinking of either following the cake and champagne reception with dinner at Portobellos or some such and then an Illuminations Cruise, or cruise around in the limo (as we have it for four hours as part of the package) and then do dinner at the Contemporary while Wishes is on.

We're both really excited and looking forward to planning the finer details with the planner. We found the website really useful as you can create a Wishes book and play around with all of the different options.

Good luck with your plans - please post your progress.:goodvibes

This thread came up just in time. DH and I have been talking about renewing our vows for months and finally decided to try and do it up at WDW next year. It'll be our 15th anniversary and what a great way to celebrate it. Thanks for the kick in the pants to get over to Disney Weddings! And good luck to all of you who are planning the same thing :goodvibes
