Voucher Question

I had won a trip to disney through a raffle and had the supplying travel agent purchase my flights and park tickets as well as a universal hotel stay. In total, I paid oop $600, above what the prize was. The agent did not book my WDW stay, as my beach club reservation was a better rate than they could get.

I've been waiting for the park tickets to arrive so I could link them to my reservation and book our fast passes. Today I found out they purchased vouchers that I'll need to redeem at the gate. I'm so disappointed - this means no pre-booked fast passes! I'm trying to not be upset, as the prize made these tickets "free" but am feeling a bit mislead.

Does anyone know of a way that vouchers can be redeemed prior to arriving?

Try putting the voucher numbers into your MDE account.

Tried. The voucher has an 5 digit code which isn't recognized.

Were they paper vouchers? Kind of like the military salute ones that servicemembers can purchase at their MWR office on base (I believe mine last year was green). The paper vouchers have a barcode on the back that I scanned with the MDE app, and it linked them to my stay. We still had to stop by Guest Services on our first day in order to activate the passes on our magic bands, but we were able to book our FP+ ahead of time.

I just got a copy of the voucher. It's a travel agency letterhead with a voucher for a 6 day park hopper. By voucher, I mean text. No barcode or id code. I guess disney knows what to with them at the gates. Same thing for my universal tickets and reservation.

I'm crushed.

I did, thanks Robo. After a chat with WDW, concierge at the beach club, and the travel agent, it would appear I'm SOL. Hopefully this thread serves as a heads up for anyone booking through the Canadian travel agency chains Marlin Travel, Flight Centers or Sunwing. The disney vouchers they provide cannot be redeemed until your are present at WDW.
