Vote is honesty the best policy?

To begin my post the manager was very full of it. They are the ones to blame. They mailed you the tickets, you didn't steal it from them! He couldn't do nothing with the police. I would have kept the tickets` heck it's something i'd never see myself doing but if they have gaven you bad service previously (You said they gave your tickets 2 weeks before and they gave you the wrong one so the first day you couldn't go to the parks) i'd keep them. It's their mistake. They wouldn't even realize it. But for the most part the manager was very RUDE! I say switch companies! I would not like dealing with a company like that if i were you!

I think honesty is the best policy. Unfortunately that doesn't mean the people you are being honest with will be gracious and thankful. Police report indeed! Someone needs to learn some PR skills.

I think it would have been best to return them, not because its the right thing to do, but because another family of 4's vacation could have been ruined!!

It wasn't another family's ticket. They just did the order twice. Nobody would have gotten ripped off.

I would call back and try to get that guy's higher up. I would then inform them of the screw up and the nasty treatment when you tried to do the right thing.

I would probably tell them the best reward was that you will NEVER buy from them again, especially when the error was theirs and you were treated like a thief. We get APs, but my mom and sister go with us once a year and I get their 10-day PH tix from UT. I thought about trying Ticketmania. Not after reading your post. So that is 2 customers they lost on this mess.

I once received my bank statement and someone else's was stuck to the back of it. I called the bank and they were apologetic to me (even though the other customer was the one who would have the problem). They asked me to destroy/shred it and also told me they would inform the other customer of the problem. They were friendly and thanked me numerous times for notifying them. THAT is how you should have been treated for doing the right thing. :)

I hope you will get a little extra karmic pixie dust for this. :wizard:

There should be no reward for doing the right thing and returning the tickets that you never paid for. Why do people demand for some sort of reward when it's either the law/common sense/doing the right thing?

You did the right thing... God rewards you for being honest... good for you!!! We need more people like you in the world!

I too would have returned the tickets.....it's the right thing to do. I am always amazed, though, at the reactions of people when one does something this honest. I think it throws them for a loop, as it's so unexpected! Hehehe!:confused3
