We really like POR Riverside........especially the Alligator Bayou section. We usually stay at WDW deluxe resorts, but POR is so close to being a deluxe, that we are suprised its so much cheaper then deluxe. We love it. Its so lush, and feels very remote. Food court is great too. The rooms have been rehabed recently, and have queen beds instead of doubles.
We have only been able to stay at POR once so far (although we visit POR all the time), but would stay there in a heartbeat again if our family wasnt growing up so fast. Maybe one of these days we will be able to stay at POR again.

While CSR, and CBR are very nice resorts, we dont care for the room decor.

BTW, love the screen name nittanyliongirl02.

We have only stayed at Coronado and Caribbean. So I voted for Coronado, love the feel of this resort, the queen beds, and the pool.. Caribbean didnt like the layout at all.

we have visited and dined QS @ Riverside and really like the feel of this resort. We boated over to French Quarter and thought it was ok.

I love French quarter it's a smaller resort and its quiet. They have queen size beds and the cast members are always friendly. Coronado springs is to big and noisy and suited more for business or convention traveller. Their food court is lousy compared to the other moderate resorts.

I've stayed at CBR, CSR, and POFQ. Definitely recommend POFQ due to its size and ease of transportation (love having only one bus stop!)

We've stayed at all mods and they all win for different reasons.

Relaxing atmosphere (advantage of large resort--seems less crowded)--Coronado Springs
When we stayed here, we felt like we were the only ones at the resort.
Convenience (small resort)--French quarter
Romantic (evening walk along river, night boat ride to DTD)--Port Orleans Riverside

The best all depends on what you are looking for in a resort.

I'm a huge fan of POFQ with CSR coming in at a close second. POFQ was the first resort that my DD stayed at so I have very fond memories of her toddling around at the age of 15 months. Aside from that - the resort itself is very quaint but very expandable when you consider that all of the amenities of its sister, POR, are available to you as well. We were never more than a 5 minute walk from any destination on property. The boat to POR was lovely in the evenings as was taking it to DTD.

That is a tough one! I haven't stayed @ CSR, but loved all the other mods. I'd stay at any of them again, though I'd be sure to book a preferred room at CBR next time. It's too tough to choose a favorite between FQ & Riverside of POR. Not a single complaint about either. Loved the alligator bayou rooms, the royal rooms were awesome, and FQ is great due to its smaller size. My next trip will be FQ if I can!!

I have to agree with you, I LOVE POR. It's by far my favorite MOD. Love the decor, the theming, love the food court, the boat to DTD, Yeeha Bob. Love it all!

BTW....

Sorry...just getting back home....PENN STATE! My DH and I are also 2002 graduates...hence the "02" at the end of my name.

And THANK YOU all for the reviews. I'm being swayed (and generally excited) for the POR or POFQ. Oh, that AND DH wants to stay more then a week!

No love for CBR :( I've stayed at CBR, Coronado and Riverside multiple times but always end up back at CBR. I know some people don't like the size, but that's one of the reasons we love it. Walking around the lake as the sun sets is so peaceful - a world apart from the parks. We love the food court, the many pools, the slide at the main pool, and just the general lush tropical feel. It's what I expect in Florida I guess. And the pirate rooms are just cool pirate:

We're going in August and spending the first week at AKV (RCI exchance). When we decided to extend our stay, I offered my daughter the option of staying at AKL but she insisted we spend our last few days at CBR.

We like the look of CBR, but have never been........even to visit.

It is a beautiful walk and I highly recommend right around sunset. My husband loves to run around it as well though I'm not sure where he finds the energy with all the time in the parks. :confused3

I haven't stayed there yet and to be honest I wasn't too excited about it before this trip. But I hadn't done much reading about it other than the passing comments about how it was too big and the double beds. When I really started looking into it and reading the posts from people who loved it, it totally changed my mind. It sounds lovely and exactly like the quiet, relaxed feeling we're looking forward to for this vacation.:)

I have stayed at all four at least twice and would gladly go back to each again.:cool1:

Each has such beautiful and unique detailing.

CBR only having doubles a little bit of a down side but with dd at 17 on our mom and me trip we just reserved a king room instead. :goodvibes

I prefer lakes over river but the boat to DTD makes up for that.

Really you should try them all, you can't go wrong.... It's DISNEY!!!
