Personally, no matter what anyone else recommends to do or not to do we as a family have to try everything at least once for our own deciding. Unless it's something I'm terrified of doing i.e.; TOT, EE, etc.
I would suggest you to try both if time permits it and then decided if you will ever do it again on your own.
We have seen Little Mermaid a few times but see Beauty and the Beast almost every trip! That said I think Voyage might be on the chopping block with the new expansions going on at DHS so if you want to see it - you should probably do it
Beauty and the Beast, by far. If nothing else, the dancing dishes are fantastic! Plus, on our very first trip, DD then 6, informed me that "that wasn't Ariel's REAL tail!" and boycotted the show henceforth. She is now 14 and we still haven't seen it again LOL.
If their NOT into either movie, I'd definitely go Little Mermaid if doing one. The show is a lot shorter and it's more entertaining for younger kids. The Beauty and the Beast show is more like a Broadway show and is around 30 minutes. If their not into Beauty and the Beast I doubt they would enjoy the musical
BATB is a much more lavish production and a better show, but Little Mermaid is much shorter and something I really enjoy, plus it's in one of the coolest (temperature wise) buildings in the park.
