VMk really couldn't say that "giving" inferno to a friend or a random person for nothing in return is indication that there must be an out of vmk transaction.
they would really have little or no way to track who the seller and buyers are in the game- unless their ebay title is similar to their vmk title. Or if they buyer has more contact info that is same as VMK's
Of course they could- if they wanted to - do a "sting" and pose as buyers and bust you- but I don't see them doing that either.
Really I think they are turning a blind eye to the ebay stuff- many many products out there have not for resale- not to be transferred - etc on it- Disney and otherwise and they end up all over the place for sale...
I happen to have a friend that got her Inferno as a gift- no strings - no trade- she was just given it- should she and this other play been accused of selling/buying the virtual item- nope...
So no I don't think the risk is really that great- because they would have to prove so much more...
I suppose if you plan on selling - I would suggest you create your ebay account with an email that you do not use for VMK-
I still am amazed that people out there are actually paying that much for that pin lol...
Disney is certainly missing out on not selling cards and things- I've said before they could make a pretty penny- by selling VMK trading cards (separate from quest items) they could have some cards with items that are currently buyable and cheap, some for bigger ticket things, film lol, and then create a few rarer items just for this- garuntee one "rare" item in every pack. Sell the cards for $2.99 for a pack of say 8 or 10 and how many would we all be buying here?- most would buy big just to get the complete set of cards not to mention wanting the rare items. Then multiply that by the people not on this board but looking to get things- grandparents/parents who want a neat gift for the kids... Have the cards available at Disney Parks and Resorts, Disney Stores and online... /OT dream of Disney Merchandise lol
