VMK Central at WDW Questions

Hello,
We're going down in the beginning of October. I know there is a quest going on right now, but it expires the end of September. Can someone let me know what exactly a Quest is all about? Do you have to pay for it? Is there a separate "tour" for this quest or is it something you can just go and do?
Do you get any of those special cards?

The in park quests have questions that you find the answers in the park. For instance, with the Adventureland quest all of the questions had to do with Adventureland and some of them you have to ride specific rides (POTC, Jungle Cruise, etc.) It is completely free, just pick up the quests at VMK Central, except for the Tomorrowland and Thrill Seekers quest, which you can download and print from the VMK website. There is no tour, just go and do it on your own time. Currently, POTC is under rennovations so there is no Adventureland quest, but it might be back by October. At the park there are quests for Fantasyland and Frontierland. If they expire in September, they might still accept them in October if they still have cards. You get special cards with codes for virtual items. On the downloadable quests it shows what the prizes are for those quests.
