Am I the only one that thinks that dorsnt look like shock on Will Smith's face?

I think that's more of a "no she didn't" look...

It may not be what you consider entertainment, but it is entertainment for others. I agree with previous posters the VMA's is all about shock value, it always has been. I also don't agree with MTV not being relevant because it definitely is this is a chance for artists to perform in front of millions, many who may have never seen their work. For example Ariane Grande or the new Justin Beiber guy, I've never seen neither perform and wouldn't have had it not been for the VMA's. Also it was one of the most talked about show last night being a trending topic for much of the show.

It is the only thing MTV wants.

I have seen pictures of her with other celebrities and appearing to lick their faces. It is so unappealing.

I completely agree with you. Lady Gaga knows what she's doing, it's constructed and meant to be, in her mind, some form of art. Add to that the fact she can actually sing, and well, it works.

Miley could never really sing. Ever since that bizarre photo shoot several years ago where she was topless and wrapped up in a sheet, it's been downhill. Her behavior is meant to shock and she has no talent to back it up with.

I read somewhere that last night, her mother stood up and applauded after Miley's raunchy performance. Classy. Guess the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree in that family.

I'm not shocked, this is the MTV Awards. I was waiting to see what this years awards would bring. I found it quite funny and entertaining, especially to see all the different memes that popped on twitter afterwards.

Really? How so? She has played to the media like a freaking expert. For every shaking head at Madonna writhing on stage to "Like a Virgin", to every tongue wagging about Britney and madonna's tongue kiss, to every *tsk *tsk to her "twerking", she has raked in the cash without having to take off her clothes or go to rehab.
