DS14 has a few spots on both of his cheeks that are lighter than the rest of his skin. He has a few spots on one of his legs right at the fold of his hip, groin area. It comes and goes in its brightness, I had that one checked by the doctor when he was about 2. Doc sort of dismissed it and frankly once I stopped changing his diapers I would forget about it.
The ones on his face really started showing up about 6 weeks ago and again sometimes are more noticeable than others. DH took him to the dermatologist yesterday but naturally can't remember exactly what she said. They want him back in 3 months, warned him about tanning, ( which he loves )and gave him Elidel to put on the spots. She also dismissed the spots on his leg as a birth mark.
Anyone have any experience with this?
I don't know whether I should be really worried about this or not. Thanks
