Renovations are almost done at the resort. There is only one section to complete, that being the original Courts section. If you have a ground floor unit, you will have a patio. Overall there is about a 1 in 4 chance of being on the ground floor for the resort overall.
Since they said you have a patio, and since the only section remaining to be renovated is Courts, if you have booked a 2BR sleeps 6 (not 8) unit with a Saturday checkin for a full week; you COULD be in Courts. If you have a 2BR sleeps 8, or a 1BR, or even a 2BR sleeps 6 with another checkin date, then you are in a newly renovated section, not Courts.
Note that Courts does have 2BR sleeps 8 units too, but they are all uppers (balcony, not patio). Another way to check; if your unit does not have 2 singles in the 2nd BR, then you are not in the Courts section and are safe. There is one other section with twin beds in the 2nd, so you may still be safe even if you do.
Many people have described the new colour scheme as dark; I would rather say sedate and boring. We own in Courts and love it; we'll miss the bright tropical colors when they are gone, but have given in to the inevitability of beige and granite as the new resort fashion...
If you want tropical colors, you may want a Courts unit. They are the only ones left that have a bright scheme.
