Hi guys,
Adult daughter and I are heading to WDW for the holidays. Coming home just before Christmas. We have some time set aside to resort hop and see the decorations.
Other than the monorail resorts and boardwalk resorts, what resorts are a must see?

The GF is the only monorail resort that's worth it historically. (You can see the big tree outside the CR as you ride by on the monorail.)

The WL is also essential, and the AKL is similarly beautiful.

If you have extra time, CSR usually does a nice job as a moderate.

The resorts that are most worth a visit at Christmas IMO are WL (my fave), GF, and AKL. The gingerbread display at Contemporary is worth a look too and smells AMAZING. The gingerbread carousel at Beach Club and the little village display at Yacht are great too. I was disappointed in the Polynesian.

We did a Christmas Resort tour a few years ago and hit some of the moderates and they were okay. Just a tree or two set up. Pretty, but not really worth the trip out to see them. Haven't seen the values, but from pictures it looks like Art of Animation has an nice tree.

The only ones I've been to at Christmas are POFQ and AKL. I enjoyed them both, but AKL was particularly impressive. That tree was huge!

GF, WL, & AKL Jambo for their large impressive Christmas trees. BC for the life sized carousel horses (which I thought were chocolate?)

The Disney Springs Trail was fun and they might add new themes to reflect a new Disney movie, etc.
Don’t forget how beautiful the new Destino Tower Resort area is and soon to open Riviera Resort. Both should be impressively decorated for the holidays

I did this for the first time last Dec, I couldn't fit all my planned stops into one evening (with a nice holiday dinner). You will have fun picking a fav. Mine was BC.

I have been to pretty much all of them, and IMO The Wilderness lodge is best decorated of all.

Followed closely by, GF and AKL.

The Wilderness Lodge is breathtaking during Christmas! Although it is not in the monorail you could ferry from the Contemporary resort to check it out. The contemporary has a smaller than GF, but still adorable, gingerbread house.
