Visiting Park, but not attending MNSSHP. How does that work?

We will be visiting WDW in September. We noticed that one of the days we plan to visit the Magic Kingdom, there will be a MNSSHP. We are not staying at the park all day, so that is ok. What is the latest time we will be able enter the park with a regular park ticket? What time will we have to leave? Also, is the park pretty empty the morning of the parties? We don't mind going earlier in the day if the crowds are lower that day.

MK closes at 7pm on party days to non-party guests. You may come and go as you please until 7pm. Guests without party bracelets are directed towards the exit at 7pm.

During the day, fun as usual.

You should link this post in your signature. I have the feeling you'll need to pull it out a few more times. :)

We really like going to MK when there is a hard ticket event. We went to MK during Night of Joy two years ago. We had a dinner reservation at like 6 or 6:30 at BOG. They didn't rush us and we almost had the restaraunt to ourselves. Then the most AWESOME cast member personally escorted us to the entrance with an umbrella as it had started raining. She wasn't rude about it and played in the puddles with my kids on the way down Main Street.

I think this is important. Yes, Magic Kingdom will close at 7:00 for anyone not for the party. But, unless someone tries to attend the party or starts giving attitude about having to exit the park, the exit is very easy.

We did this a few years ago with my in-laws and my mother-in-law was freaking about about "WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE! THEY WILL THROW US OUT!" She kept darting her head around as we were walking down Main Street at 6:58 thinking the Disney Secret Police would arrest us or something. When we got outside the turnstiles she kept asking, "why are those people going IN, they don't have those wristbands!!!!!!!!"

So, don't panic, just enjoy. Disney's not stupid, they wouldn't intentionally start shoving people out a park.

Going to a party park on a day when you don't have a party ticket is a good plan. You do miss out on the night time fun, so park hopping to another park and seeing the MK on another night is necessary. The park will be great for touring up until 4 pm. At that time party-goers can get in with just a party ticket. From then until 7 pm, crowds will slowly thicken. You will also have a harder time getting FP's for those hours as party people can reserve them then.
