My husband and I would like to stay overnight in a hotel on Disney property to take advantage of extra magic hours, but we would only like to purchase a park hopper ticket for one day. Is this possible. I have read in other places that DLP will not even sell one day passages to Americans. Can anyone give me more info?

The cheapest way is to buy a package that would give you 2 days park and one night stay. Room only is almost always more than a package. It might be cheapest to book the package for one person and buy a 1 day park ticket and pay a small (2 euro) room tax on arrival for the second person.
Expedia used to sell room only Disney hotels, but they don't seem to anymore :confused3
Hope that helps :thumbsup2
