Visiting Disney's Hilton Head resort when not a guest?

We're going to be on Hilton Head Island next month, and we aren't staying at the Disney resort. Is it possible to still visit, buy pins, get Dole Whip, etc., even if we aren't resort guests? Thanks!

We usually go there even if I can't get a reservation during the week we are in Hilton Head. We either park in the Shelter Cove Harbour parking lot, across from the big Neptune statue, then walk to the resort or we just ride bikes right into the resort. We usually always stay about 3 miles or less from the resort if we can't get in there. Never had an issue.

Yes, and you can actually drive up and ring the gate intercom. Tell them you want to check out the resort, and they'll buzz you right in. We've done it a few times. We own at VWL, so getting in at HHI during the warmer months is tough, so we usually just stop in to visit, grab Mickey waffles, and browse the small gift shop.
