Visiting Dec 4 - 11th?

We will be there too....3rd thru 12th....Plan on doing Osbourne for the 1st time....MVMCP on the Tuesday and hit the parks along with SW and IOA and US.....I think that is also the time of Pop Warner so crowds will be a little high but still easy to manage....Will take advantage of EMH too to get a leg up on any potential crowds....Also my name is not on that list.....will be 4 of us....Me, my wife and 2 boys....

We're going 12/3 - 12/11! I, too am getting nervous about the crowds. Everyone keeps saying they're going the first week of Dec. Hopefully it won't be too bad.

We are going 12/3-12/11 too! Staying at CBR. It will be me, DH, our two DDs (ages 8 and 3) and my parents and brother! I can't hardly wait. It's DH and youngest DD's first trip! We are going to try to catch seaworld adn US and IOA too! Doint MVMCP on 12/3.

Am I missing something?? We are going to be there Nov 29 - Dec 7. I picked those dates because I read they are one of the lowest crowd days, now I was reading this post and everyone is worried about the crowds? Is something going on that week or was I misinformed?

The week of Thanksgiving to about the 1st weekend of December might be busy. Remember they are taping the Xmas party that shows on Xmas morning that Saturday. Yes there will be some crowds. But nothing like the week of Easter. If everyone here on Disboards is saying they are going, then I would be happy. That would be like 50 people going to the whole WORLD. Woohoo. Yes please. Crowds or not, just think of it like this. Would you rather be working or at Disney?

We will be trying to do it all, too. (December 16 - 21) We've never been at Christmas time and can't wait!! I LOVE Christmas time with all the decorations, but at Disney Worls it has got to be fantastic!!!!

We'll be there the 8-13th at Old Key West. We're doing MVMCP on the 9th, fantasmic dinner package, candlelight package and some shopping...should be a GREAT time. Looking forward to it!
Just hope the crowds are more than managable...

What started this discussion on crowds?

Historically this is a very quiet time at the parks, and the Unofficial Guide has the crowd level at 1 (On a scale of 1 to 10).

We will be there Dec 4 - Dec 10, partly because of the low crowds, but mainly for the Xmas decorations.

Pop Warner will be at the All Stars and POR. You should be fine at CBR.

We will be there Dec. 2-7 and I really am not worried about crowds at all. I figure that it will probably be a little more crowded than normal because a lot of people had to cancel due to the hurricanes and need to get their vacation time in before the end of the year.
But that's okay, because we have been enough at this point that we are not driven to do all the rides, etc. We just want to take in all the Christmas magic. We will be doing MVMCP for the first time Dec. 5 (Sunday night) hoping it will not be very crowded as the local people have to go to work/school on Monday.

according to everyone who is posting on here they are staying at the all stars. I think you will be ok. CBR rocks. If you can stay in the Jamaica building and try to get room 4245

Too many people look at the Disney resort attendance to determine how crowded the parks will be. Disney hotels are usually full year round. Think about how many hotels you see as you drive to WDW from MCO. There are thousands of rooms off property. I’m sure that crowds will be light in early Dec just like they are every year.

We'll be there from 12/9-12/13 and I think that there are a few reasons why people might be thinking that this time of year might be a little more crowded than usual. I believe that Pop Warner is normally here during this time, but now there's also the reschedules from the hurricanes, Mousefest 2004, the discount codes that Disney released via e-mail a few weeks ago and the low airfare (at least from my location).

Brandon&Misty, unfortunately Spectro does not show during MVMCP. They have 2 showings of a special Christmas parade and fireworks at 9:15.

Andrea I know what you mean about having the park hours available for planning. The only times that are set in stone right now during your stay is the MK on 12/7, 12/9 & 12/10. It will close to regular guests at 6pm and then re-open from 7-midnight for MVMCP. As for Epcot, those hours rarely change from the standard 9-9. Based on historical hours, MGM is probably going to run until 7pm, with the Osborne Lights coming on at 6pm. If you're wondering about the schedule for MVMCP, here is the info from 2003

I'll be there with 9 other family members Dec. 5th - 11th! I just can't wait! I'm so excited to see everything decked out for Christmas!

I have to admit though, I'm worried about Pop Warner! When I first started planning I heard about Pop Warner, but everyone said you'd hardly noticed them at the parks and that they stay at All Star Music. I booked POFQ and didn't worry about it. Now I read on another thread that there are ALOT more teams coming to Pop Warner this year and in addition to staying at ASM they are also booked at POR (which means we'll be sharing buses)

I know I might be over-reacting, but I picked this week for the low crowds and the more I read about Pop Warner the more I worry about it. (I tend to be a worrier though )

I thought about changing our trip dates, but my brother and sister took vacation weeks at work and they can't be changed now.

I KNOW you expect kids at WDW, I have NO problem with that, but large groups of teenagers roaming everywhere sounds like it might be troublesome.

And I hate this, cuz now I'm going to be worrying about Pop Warner until we get there.

Our family of 3 will be there Dec. 4 - ll. We are staying at the AKL. We are planning on going to MVMCP on the 7th. We also picked this time of the year for low attendence. I hope we wont be disappointed.

What dates are the Pop Warner's going to be there? Also, Somone mentioned about the taping of the Christmas parade, would that be Saturaday Dec. 4th that they are doing that? Can anyone go to that? Does anyone know what time they do that? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

When I called to make a PS, I didn't get the time I wanted and mentioned to the CM how unusual that was for this time of year and he said they are busier for this time period than they were last year. But, who knows?

The trip last December was just magical. The Christmas decorations are such fun.
