visa rewards dollars and buying passes?

I am getting ready to redeem my rewards dollars to buy an annual pass (I don't have enough for the whole pass, but it will make a nice little dent in it ). 2 quick questions:

1. Anyone ever purchased a park pass with rewards dollars as partial payment? is this allowed? is it more trouble than it's worth?

2. Is the DC discount available on park passes bought at TDS?

I did just that last week. I redeemed all my Disney reward dollars into Disney Store reward cards and used them towards the purchase of a PAP using a DC discount. I used my Disney Credit card for the remaining balance.
The CM who was helping me was very nice. I commented that she seemed to be pretty experienced with the reward cards and she said they are just like the Disney Store Gift cards, so it was no problem. (Though it did take her a while to run them all through ).

I just did the same thing to buy a park hopper pass at the Disney Store. I was nervous redeeming all my reward dollars for Disney store cards just in case they gave me trouble about using them to buy a pass. I was the first person to do this at the Salem, OR store, and all three CMs read the back of the card several times to make sure I could do it, but they finally rang it up, applied my DC discount, and it went through just fine. I had $180 in reward dollars to apply against the 5 day park hopper plus pass, but I wanted to get at least one of them with the DC discount before my membership expired. Now I just have to save for four more.
