WDWTC verified that I qualify for the Visa DreamMaker and I got some quotes for our July 2 - 9 trip.

CBR - 2387.94 (two rooms) 2 Adults 2 Juniors (14, 10)
WL - 2236.83 (one room w/bunks Woodsview)

Now, if I book the Visa Room Only Code, without the passes it would be

CBR - 1408 (two rooms)
WL - 1163 (one room)

Then I'd have to buy Park Hopper tix. We wouldn't be using the tickets on the day of our arrival or our last day so I'm not sure if the DreamMaker Pkg. would be useful.

Do you think the rumour of a good Summer Package will beat out the Visa DreamMaker?

I would price out the tickets and room with room only, which will likely be lower than the Dreammaker and go ahead and book that before you can't get your dates on the Visa room only deal. If the Summer package is in fact a better deal when it comes out, just go ahead and chage it then, but grab what you can now.

Not sure about the rumor but I changed my reservation from the Summer Dreammaker to the room only pkg at Wilderness Lodge. Same thing, Woods View, 2 adults 2 children for 1162.00.

As you mentioned I don't want to have park tickets for the days we arrive and depart, so I am going to buy the tickets separately.

Do you know the best deal on purchasing Park Hopper tickets?

Enjoy your trip!

I run the numbers and if it saves money I would book it, but don't buy the extra tix yet. Hold on, and wait. you can always change.

Last summer for august we had the ap's already from earlier trip and the fairytale pkg was coming out for disney club, i took the pkg, and saved money EVEN thou I certainly did not need tix. BUT about a week later the ap rates came out for august and we dropped FT and switched back to room only. Sure lots of time on phone, BUT if we were in the september month, there where no ap rates on room only and FT was the only saving and was snagged up quickly. SO lesson learned play the game, as it is presented you can change your mind and drop ressies and start over, but get what you can.

Right now, I have ressies I can afford, would we like to upgrade to something spectacular, sure but if the ap rates don't materialize, I can live with my ressies and if they do, we will get some great perks, like the captins boating pkg at the poly, a rental car for the entire 3 weeks, things like that, or maybe upgrade to a view, if available. Just remember to keep your options open and READ the boards! Also a cell phone with long distance has saved my life.

Looking at the numbers you've posted, regardless of which resort you choose, the Visa 7 for 4 deal is better than room only and 6 day hoppers. The advance purchase price of 4 adult 6 day hoppers is $1180. Adding that price to the room only quotes you have CBR will cost $2588 and WL will cost $2343, both of which are more expensive than the Visa deal. Now, if you decide to get less hopper days, that could result in a savings, but you'd have to take one day off from the parks. I'd book the Visa deal, since it seems to be the better price and keep your eyes out for better prices. You have until 45 days before to cancel without penatly (don't get insurance yet) and if something else better comes out, just change your ressie to that.

I think you should also factor in $100 in Disney Dollars with the 7 for 4. Plus Disney Quest is included with package.

For us I believe the 7 for 4 is a better value since we plan to use the water parks and Disney Quest.

Did WDWTC(what exactly is this) call Bank One to verify your eligibility? Our cards just arrived today, so I've got to get my game plan together.

We didn't receive a mailing from DV, but applied by phone on Feb. 23rd. I'd really like to book the 7 for 4 but I'm not sure about being eligible. Wish me luck!

:D

Toots-

Let us know what you find out. We also applied and were approved for DV last week. We are currently waiting for the cards to arrive. DH says that only way we can go again this year is with this deal!!!

I priced out both and the 7/4 deal was better than the room only and 6 day park hoppers. Plus, you get $100 disney dollars, pins/lanyards, Disney wish(we are getting the $25 Planet Hollywood GC) and have the option of going to the parks to eat or just to visit on the first and last days! :)

It was about $100-200 cheaper. WE are staying in the WL woodsview on May 13th-20th!

Always factor in the number of days you will actually visit the parks! We do "day on/day off" and the expiring tickets are not my favorite. We always buy regular hoppers, leave with unused days on our tix so we HAVE to come back... :)

We are waiting to receive our DV so we can try for the 4/7 for our dates in August. We have priced every deluxe room accomodating 5 and this is definitely the way to go. An ap room with a 40% discount, one ap and four 5 day park hoppers is $40 less than the 4/7 plan at the YC. Since we will actually be there 8 full days this is definitely a great deal. I know the park hoppers can be great to carry over from trip to trip -- but, I love the idea of just being able to visit a park at any time during our trip even just for an hour or two and spend the rest of the day at the pool and not feel as if we wasted a day on a park hopper. You simply get more for your money with the UPH at least at this price.

Don't worry if you don't get any information with your cards. Just go ahead and activate the card (you have to use it for the deposit) and call Disney to book your trip. I was really worried because I didn't get the "code" so I called BankOne. She said that they are not giving out the code anymore and that BankOne and Disney know it so not to worry. The Disney CM called BankOne while I was on hold and verified I was eligible and booked our trip! I also did a ton of number crunching and this was absolutely the best deal for us...a family of one adult and one child. When you add in the $100 Disney Dollars you receive at check-in, it was a few hundred dollars savings for us. Plus, now we can visit the waterpark which I was going to skip but my daughter will love!

I also did some number crunching and I would have to get an AP rate for a Sav View at AKL for $155 including tax and that's not going to happen. It's a great deal for us.

We booked the 7 for 4 Disney Visa deal the other day for Polynesian GV concierge. It brought the price of a GVC room down to $280 a night (including tax.) Rack rate for this room is $440 + tax! With the Disney Visa code out (not sure if they will evn have a code in Ooctober) it would be $373.56 a night! The $100 Disney Dollars at check in is a nice plus as well. This was the best deal for us. :Pinkbounc

We got our card today and I just found out we're eligible!!!

We booked the 7 for 4 @ POFQ- for $1,469.90. ( 2 adults & 1 ten yr old.) I'm so thrilled this worked out.
Thanks to all who post on this board. It's been a great help.:)
