if you get a disney discount visa card do you have to charge the resort rooms onto it to get the discount on the rooms?

It's not a discount card...it's a Chase Visa credit card, and holders are often offered discounts that are offered to the general public a few days later. Example, book free dining discount earlier than the general public. Also, for every dollar you spend on the credit card, you get $.01 credit in Disney Dollars. We charge everything on it, it's like a savings account for Disney.

How do you know if you have any discounts coming to you? I booked 2 pckgs. for March on my Disney Visa and was not told anything about a discount! Guess that means I din't get one. Do you have to ask for them?

No, I believe you don't ask for them, they either show up on your statement, or you can do to the Disney Rewards site and see the offers that they have at the moment. We had a package discount of like $300 that we took advantage of before it went out to the public. It's always worth checking out.

Tell me more, is this on the Disney site and which section? Current offers?? I need to book a friday/saturday on my current trip I have planned. I will need either an AP rate or the Visa rate.

also on our last trip to WDW dd and i were at the World of Disney store in DTD and the cashier asked me if I had a Disney Visa and I said yes but I was paying in cash, and she said I just need to see if and I can give you 10% off. is that a general thing all stores in Disney will do? If not, it's worth asking when shopping there. I didn't have to use it, just showed it to her.
