Congrats to Bugs who made it on the fastest ice cream questers list. Now I want to know how PIZZA did it in under 5 mins!

I think they are trying to make the history part interesting, since so many kids complained about history being boring. Choosing things like ice cream instead of more serious topics is a way of getting the history in there without turning people off. The ice cream cart fits in with the victorian period quite well, the flowery chairs and lava lamps are from the sixties - recent history, but still history to kids born in the nineties.

It's still coming out on the date June 26, not 28th. If I were in charge I would
delay it about half a month to a month. But maybe if they fix all the bugs
and release Australian land, a few more mini games, trading, ignore button,
more rooms, etc in 4 days then I guess they're on a roll.

That's awesome we can trade now! But we were promised to be able
to trade credits if I can remember correctly and I don't see that.

yea.. i had to send her a request via trade, but i will be deleted once i recieve my ice cream quest prize...

I personally loved the ice cream quest content and play on history. It was a FUN way to learn some history ( I hate history!) and a great learning opportunity for princess. Princess ran into Fin and she even helped her with a question. Saw lots of staff around and they were all very helpful. Someone even got banned bashing the staff. Staff came very quickly. They were warned repeatedly and they kept up the bashing and violent threats, so BAM- booted- banned! That was fun to watch!

VFK still has some issues/bugs to work out but I saw a HUGE improvement since the first quest. Not as much lag but for some reason i still crashed a ton on my big computer. It took about 25 minutes with all the crashing - every time I entered a new place or went back home I crashed. It went alot smoother on princess's laptop. A map would have made it easier for sure but i can totally understand why there isn't one and why they send you all over the place and back to where you already were before. They are still in testing mode- alpha/beta- who cares? I have to admire these people for taking on such a huge task and trying very hard to make a fun place for the kids to go to after losing VMK. Let's try to remember that they have NEVER developed a game like this before.
Everyone has a choice- play or not play.

Princess bought the new room. She tried to name it her castle suite but you can't say suite either so she said SWEET!

Hmm, user2 is actually the one that sent me the request O_O. I messaged
her if it was a mistake and she never replied, I went to her room and as soon
as I got there and said hi she left.. but she's still on my list

I really wish VFK hadn't opened so early. I'd rather take a finished game in July then a half-finished game.

Ink has had the same problem for 2 days only. Did you update flash? He updated it 2 days ago and since has not been able to log in. Anyone else or anyone have ideas?

I had an issue a week or so ago when I could sign in using Firefox, but not IE6. It kept looping to the log in screen. This was not a connection error. There had been no updates done to the pc. At that time I had not downloaded gadget either. When I learned another player had the exact same issue, I wrote in to contact us. Although I did not get a written response, in less than 24 hours I could sign in with IE6 again. Not sure if it was a coincidence or not.

If you have not already done so, see if you can use Firefox as a bandaid. Maybe?

Their public release is the day after tomorrow. I really hope they do delay
it but they opened to beta when they weren't ready and they will probably
open publicly when they aren't ready.

Still it's awesome that it HAS improved a lot!

I have heard from several sources that you are not alone in having the inability to connect to the game. Several staff have said they have been made aware of this and are working to fix it. This could explain why there have been no new updates today. Hope this gets worked out soon.

We are logging in Ok, but haven't updated the latest flash yet. Looks like we won't yet.
