Has anyone else tried using the new VA search engine? Just tried it and I hate it. It makes it so much harder to find good pries for anything else other than the cheapest flights, especially if you can be flexible on dates. I tried to find a way to give them feedback but failed in that too as the only way of sending feedback is if you have a complaint and have a flight reference.

Virgin Atlantic just implemented a lot of changes which will make it very challenging to see value in the summer school holiday from now on

We collected Virgin air miles and were getting enough for flights, but they moved to a dynamic points pricing model and some of flights now 5x more points are needed.

It’s really annoying and people are saying it is same way their parent company Delta do it
I imagine their IT is being aligned too which is why you are seeing a change

As for getting in touch, it’s almost impossible to find a number/Chat/e-mail to give feedback
It seems to be designed to put you off

Preceisely. I tried all manner of combinations on the contact us page but to no avail, in the end it always ended up with, give us your flight number. Arghhh

If you are flexible on dates I managed to get 36000 points/miles pp for August next year. This was flying into Miami and back from Orlando though. I think in future years it will be easier to get he dates you want in summer if you book when they are released - the changed coming in at the end of October this year meant August flights had already been available to book for several weeks.

I can be flexible but not practical for me to fly from London
Are you doing the brightline train? Looks pretty cool

Our flight doesn't get in until late, so we are going to book a hotel close by and then drive up the next day. I did look into the train - I was surprised the train takes pretty much the same time as driving! For us hiring a car for 3 days works out the same as getting the train (plus we would the still need to get from Orlando airport to our resort). Might be a better option in a few years if they build the station near Springs!)
