Just a quick question, looking at flights from Heathrow to Orlando with Virgin and it says they only fly from Gatwick in the south....I thought they did from Heathrow??
Thanks alot. It is only the Heathrow flights that have the new entertainment system, isn't it? Does anyone know when they're rolling it out across the rest of the fleet?

Thanks. So, all Virgin flights to Orlando have the 'old' entertainment system, ie not on demand? Also, I keep reading about the PE 'bubble' - is this hit and miss as to whether you get a flight with the upstairs?
Yeah. As far as I know only LHR planes with that on but one year we did have a switch of planes with Gatwick and Manchester and that did have on demand on so I think a few may? Not 100% sure on that.
Does anyone know if the 747's that fly from LGW to MCO have the games on? Including the one you can play against other people on the flight? I think its trivia challenge??

The LGW routes almost always use the Boeing planes with PE in the "bubble", but the trade-off is that it's the "old style" PE as opposed to the refreshed PE on the LHR routes. We much prefer sitting downstairs with the new seats than in the bubble with the old ones.
You can't guarantee getting a seat in the bubble, but there are a couple of things you can do to increase your chances and in all the times we've flow PE we've been lucky.
The first thing to do is to make your seat requests online as soon as possible. Check regularly to make sure they haven't been reallocated. Also be sure to check in online 24 hours before your flight. Repeat the process for the homebound flight.
Just another quick question - when do you make your seat requests online? After payment has been made for your flight booking? So even if you request seats, you are only guaranteed them when you check in online 24 hours before?
Finally, are you more likely to flying out of Gatwick or Manchester and is there much difference between the planes flying out of these 2 airports?
