Can anyone help me?

Can you check-in online no more than 24 hours before a flight?

Also, regarding seating, are there seats in sets of 2? It's just my Mother and I travelling, and, as anti-social as it may sound, we would prefer if it was just us sitting together :goodvibes

Does anyone know of a web link to a seating plan for Virgin Atlantic planes, or is only possible to view this once you have started the online check-in process?

Thanks

Not sure about the check-in, there may be a set of seats for 2 at the emergency exits possibly or at the back of the plane, other than that they are just in Premium Economy.

www.v-flyer.com has all the seating plans etc

If you booked through Virgin Atlantic, you can book your seats online regardless of whether or not you choose to use the online check-in facility. It doesn't necessarily guarantee you will get those seats - we always have, but others here often don't.

Check out the seating plans here - there are a few rows of 2 at the rear of the economy cabin.

There are a few rows of 2 but we had requested one set for my grandparents this year - she has a bad hip and the extra space at the side really helps - even had a docter's note to say that this would help - and it was actually given to 1 woman on her own who used the other seat to put her "make up" bag on.

Basically they are VERY popular seats and even though you pre request them if people ask for them at check in it is possible they will be given your seats.

Thanks for that additional information. I'll give it a try, nothing to lose :teeth:

We flew with Virgin last May and pre-booked our seats. We booked two seats out of a block of three in both directions and didn't have anybody sitting next to us on either flight :flower:

If you do not book online and have certain seats you want to try and get, the best bet is to get to the airport early and be first in the queue.
