Virgin Atlantic Meal Request

When we booked our holiday I put my request in for children's meals. Now we've got our tickets and I can get onto the VA website I wanted to double check that the children's meals have been booked.

So I've clicked on Enter Meal Request beside my child's name but then on the drop down menu on the next screen there is no option to choose a child's meal.

Is this option somewhere else?

We flew VA last year to Kenya, booked the flights online ourselves and I'm sure this is how I chose a child's meal.

How old are your children? Have just checked on my booking. Next to mine and DH's names we can click on 'Enter Meal Request' and we get a drop down but a childs meal is not one of the option shown.

Next to DS's name, it says enter/edit meal request and when I click on it I get a choice of 'None' or 'Childs meal'. I wonder if your kids have been booked on as 'adults' and that is why you can't request kids' meals. Or it may be that because they are already booked, you can't change it - for example, we have pre-booked a child's meal for DS but it doesn't actually show what is booked, it just says 'Previously Selected'

We had the same thing with VA and children's meals this time last year...unable to select a child's meal on their website.

All I had to do was email VA and request children's meals for them and it was sorted.
The email address I used was customer.services@fly.virgin.com

That's exactly what it was like for us and many others last year Joanne. We had a drop down menu against each name with lots of options except for an option for a child's meal. I could order a vegetarian meal for Dp but not a kids meal for our children. It all got sorted out within a couple of days of emailing them.

All sorted!!

I e-mailed Virgin and they've got back to me in a matter of hours - very impressed! Apparently if the child's age isn't "captured in the booking" then the child meal won't come up in the options. They've booked the meals for me now.

Go a week on Monday so getting very excited now!!!!
