I was just checking my Virgin booking on their website, and I came across the section where you can fill out your details such as passport numbers and where you are staying in the US. I have filled out all the details, does anyone know if that means I won't have to fill out the green forms on the plane. I'm always scared of messing them up and getting into trouble! :rolleyes1 If this is the case then how will it work when we arrive in Orlando?

No API is the information the airline must send the US before the flight takes off or just after, you still need to fill in the green waiver forms as theya re two totally different things.

Claire ;)

No, you have to do both, Alison. The API is simply providing them with some information in advance. The Visa Waiver form asks additional questions and you have to sign it.

Thanks Claire and Deb. :) So if I hadn't filled out the info online, would I have to supply that info to Virgin at the airport? I don't remember doing that last time.

Yes you would need to supply it at check in, although most info you need to give would already be given such as passport number and expiry date. I know VH pass on first night hotel details if you have booked a hotel with them as well. API has only been required for the past two years or so.

If you will be using online check in, you have to supply api details anyway - I checked in this morning:cool1:
I was worried about putting passport numbers in the wrong way round etc.
It just cuts down on the time spent at bag drop/check in.

22 hours to go!

That's why I don't remember then! I was hoping I would avoid having to fill out those green forms - I had to ask for new ones last time as I mixed up my kids DOB. I'll get hubby to do it this time - I can't take the pressure!!:lmao:

The green forms are visa waiver forms - why they can't send them out with your tickets, I don't know, it would be far less stressful.
