VIP, Villains and Vino With Jen and Joe on the Go New TR Link and this TR is COMPLETE!

Love the presentation of this drink. Your server seemed like a really nice guy.
Eldest son and I were actually talking about Old Fashioneds last night. He loves Jameson, The Quiet Man and Tullamore Dew ( basically whiskey in general ) so he’s doing some research to make an Old Fashioned tonight. Me thinks he’s missing the pub :drinking1

I wonder if you had the same room as we did on the 9th floor? It really looks like the same view we had. I loved it there. We will definitely be staying at Destino again.
Cool drink!

California Grill

Joe and I were having so much fun with our friends, Staci and Paul at the Enchanted Rose, that we ended up being about 45 minutes late for our Cali Grill reservation. No worries, our friend, Lindsey was checking guests in at the time and she very graciously called up to the restaurant to make sure we were given our table...Thanks, Lindsey!!!!

We started with drinks, of course. I had a dirty martini and Joe had an old fashion, big surprise. LOL! For apps, I had the sushi combo and Joe had the famous ravioli. For our entrees, I had the surf and turf roll and Joe had a filet with mac and cheese. Our waiter was awesome from start to finish, even holding off on our dessert until after Happily Ever After. He even brought Joe a piece of confetti cake to celebrate his birthday and arranged to have Goofy call him on our way out of dinner to wish Joe a Happy Birthday. For my dessert, I had the best strawberry cheesecake ever and it was a vegan choice.

I can't recommend Cali Grill enough. We have dined here multiple times for brunch and dinner and it has never disappointed. The food is always amazing and the service has always been phenomenal.

You may also be wondering in the pics below why I have a napkin on my head??? This tradition was actually started by my sister wife @kastoney It's a bit of a joke and has become one of those things that we have to do now and again...

Next up, lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern...

You meal looked magnificent! Joe really did have the most awesome birthday celebration! Love that he got cake and a phone call :goodvibes
I almost choked on my tea ( which was the caramel rooibos you recommended btw) when I saw the napkin headscarves:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
One of these days I will be able to meet you all for some craic. You’re my people 😂👍

The drink was soooo good!!!

Real Life Update...

Hi everyone! As most of you have heard by now, some of us are able to start making park reservations on Monday. Joe and I would be included in that first group. At first, I started majorly stressing about this...I have July and September resort reservations with park tickets attached and extended AP's now good until August 27th. But, the more I thought about this, the more relaxed I started to get. Let me explain...I made dinner reservations in DS for each night of our July visit. This means I no longer have to stress about where we are going to have dinner...I have the Boathouse, Morimoto, Paddlefish and WGP reserved as well as lunch at Art Smith's on our arrival day. We are set to stay at the Riviera Resort (the first night) and figure if we can't get a park reservation, that we will just enjoy the resort, pools, bar, and time in DS. The next 3 nights are still up in the air as far as where we are staying. We currently have POR booked in a Royal Room/River View. We are expecting to be moved as this resort is NOT set to open in July...So, if we can't get park reservations for this part of the stay, Joe and I just plan on relaxing at whichever resort we are put in, eating, and enjoying a few adult beverages. We will also spend time in DS. We have been to the parks enough times to know there's nothing we haven't ridden that won't still be there in the years to come. We have friends who will be in Disney at the same time we are and are planning on spending time with them (Do you all wonder who that is???). So, in other words, there will be enough to keep us busy if the parks don't work out...So, wish me luck on Monday. I will do my best to at least reserve 2 days of parks. I'll let you know sometime next week how things work out...Wish me luck!!!!

Jenny, I think you’ll have an amazing trip! Will it be different than past trips-yes! But looking at what what you’ve planned, I think it’s going to be great! You have such a good attitude and having friends (who? who? who? - actually I think I know but won’t say in case it’s a surprise:rotfl:) there to hang out with means you’ll get to do a much more relaxed trip which, lets face it, after the joy of lockdown and confinement it’s needed more than ever. Good call on booking DS dinners. Perfect way to spend the evening. Can’t wait to hear how you get on :goodvibes

Yep, this is a real thing and an event that Joe and I were able to attend on his birthday!
Also, probably the best thing I have EVER done at Disney.

High praise indeed!
Things started off a bit rocky, as we were told to check-in at one time but weren't even acknowledged until close to 40 minutes after arrival.

40 minutes?! Holy crap.
I will say this class was only $35 pp and well worth the cost. We were given recipe cards with each of the 4 sangrias on them and had a photo op and received a "diploma" at the end of the class.

That does sound like a decent price the fun experience. I'd have liked to have seen you get more food, but it sure did look fun. :)

Aww, good on Lindsay!! YAY!!

Truth!! I adore this place so much and have never once had a bad experience there. But espeically love Brunch.

YES!! I am!

You so fancy in CG :rotfl: Still have to go back and watch the VLOG but loving your headwear. Just make sure its a table cloth next time :earboy2:

I am so on the same page as you on Monday. Our trip isn't until October but I figure at this point ce la vie. Don't get me wrong we'll be up at 7 tomorrow to watch the Disney IT crash like everybody else, but in reality I'm just gonna be happy to set foot on property and chill at a resort. Any resort. Though for the record value's do not count as a resort. But otherwise happy.

I was paying tribute to all those fancy tablecloth wearing hicks at a Signature restaurant that we strive to be like. LMBO!!!!!!!

That's what I'm resigning myself too. I will be more than happy to stay at a few Disney resorts and eat and drink on Disney property. If we get park reservations, it will be a bonus!!!! Yes, values do not count as resorts!!!!!

I was hoping to try out Enchanted Rose on our trip when it was in April...and then June....and now....I will just be happy to be anywhere on WDW property having a drink at this point!!!!! Glad Lindsey was able to take care of you :) DIS friends helping DIS friends are the greatest!!!

Good luck on Monday!!! I'm hoping we are lucky with getting park reservations, but we also made DS dining reservations!

I have a feeling the site will either crash because everyone and their mother will be logging in to make park reservations OR it will go so smooth that we will all be in disbelief...
I think it's a good call that you made DS dining every night. I did it just on the off chance that when I can remake dining there's nothing good available due to all the size restrictions...
