I love Disney and hate feeling like they don't care if their loyal patrons come back this year. I don't know...

can't recommend Cali Grill enough. We have dined here multiple times for brunch and dinner and it has never disappointed. The food is always amazing and the service has always been phenomenal.
Your dinner looked really good. You made good use of the deluxe dining plan, too. :)

Your house looks really nice. I love your paint colors.

Your garden looks really nice. That was my big project this spring and I planted some perennials and bushes in a garden that I had reclaimed from weeds and invasive plants. It felt good to finally get it done. :)
we were upgraded from POR/Royal Room/River View (because it will be closed in July) to the Contemporary Resort in the Garden Wing. But, let me say, I was first offered a cabin at Fort Wilderness which I declined.
The Contemporary is a great upgrade. It is much better than the cabins. I'm slightly jealous of all the people getting fantastic upgrades for their upcoming trip. I guess that it is the least Disney can do considering the reduced benefits they are offering right now.
 

Wow, Jenny, that is a crazy number of hours!!!! So glad you got everything squared away for your trips though. How did that work getting switched from the cabins they offered? Did you just say, pretty please, send me anywhere else!!? I am pretty relieved that Pop will be open for our dates, after all. When we thought we'd be moved, I was hoping it would be somewhere exciting like the Contemporary, but figured we'd end up in a cabin!

The CM asked me if I'd like the cabins and I simply said no. I said I had a Royal Room/River View which is a big upgrade for POR and could he find another option. That's when he came back with the Contemporary. I was like, SOLD!!! LOL!!!
We are staying at Pop is September and I'm so excited. We stayed there for 1 night during our Epic Trip before we went over to WL.
My friend was scheduled CL at Destino Towers and she was changed to CBR, which is a major downgrade. I would have been furious!!!! So, I am extremely grateful for my upgrade.
 
So happy you finally got everything worked out!!!! I cannot even imagine the frustration but now you'll be in Disney for your birthday and since you've got a big ole room in CR now there is room for your sister wife :D
Hey, we do have an extra bed and sleeper sofa. Come on down and share in the goods. Lol!!!!!
 
So sorry for what you had to go through! :( I brought my laptop to work with me (don't tell my boss! LOL!), set it up in the ER office, and found that pink castle staring back at me every time I checked during the day. I got through to the website to log into my account twice, but after entering my email and password, it would just blip and take me back to the same log in page. I ended up changing my password because I thought I was messing that up and that was the reason I could not successfully log in, but that was not the reason for the issues. After about 30 tries to log in, the Stitch :stitch:kiss of death would show up and I would have to start over again.

I actually made it through once shortly after lunch, and it let me reserve two of the three parks, but then kicked me out while I was going for the third one. So I had to start over again! That last time I got through a bit quicker, and only had to enter my password about 6 times before I got in to reserve that final day.

We are going to HS / AK / MK on our three full days. If they still don't honor park hopper tickets by November, I will trade in our current tickets for 4 day single park tickets, and go to Epcot on arrival evening. I figure that park is the biggest, and should have the most capacity for last minute additions... 🤞

I'm happy to hear you finally got everything straightened out for your trips......what an ordeal! I think Disney is trying to discourage as many people as possible from travelling. I know you two will have fun no matter what.

You got a nice little haul there, my friend! So fun! I love ShopDisney but as Canadians we get dinged with $49.50 USD shipping fee plus duty and import fees. It makes it very pricey!

Your haircut looks great! We just moved to stage 2 reopening last week so can go for haircuts, spa, restaurant patios etc. Jack and I went to his university house last weekend to pick up some stuff and it was SO nice to have lunch out. :) I even booked myself a spa day for July 10th and can't wait!
 
Ok I actually don't know what to say that the dis would approve of regarding your park reservation day! I will say I'm glad you got sorted and leave it at that because your 5 year old tantrum is likely very tame in comparison to what I may have done in the same situation. Shame on Disney😡
On a happier note. I love the candles and the upgrade so woohoo to that!:cheer2:

It sounds to me like not only does Disney need to get their act together when it comes to their IT department, but they need to do some SERIOUS training on their customer service department too :faint:

Loved this vlog! And I love that you took us down a couple off-the-beaten-path, um paths :laughing: It's such a shame how little I go into all the nooks and crannies at Disney - there's so much to see with all the little details.

I've only been to LTT once and it was with @chunkymonkey Su-Lynn and Steve a couple years ago. And I probably acted completely intoxicated because I was trying out a new anti-motion sickness patch that made me really spacey (or at least more so than usual). :rotfl2:But it was so fun! And I kinda think we might have been at that same table as you! :thumbsup2

Seriously though looks like a decent meal to me. Liberty Tree is certainly not the best restaurant on property but we we always enjoy our meals here and the break from the parks. But who are you even not loving the ooey gooey cake? We made one at home a few weeks ago and it was oh so good.

That's right!!!! Kari, our first meet up will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart. After all, I wouldn't share my husband with just anyone. LOL! 😘

It's just always a consistently decent meal. Not the best, but good.
I've just never been a fan of the ooey gooey...
 
I enjoyed the meet and greet with Mary Poppins. She was being very properly British. :) She is also the youngest Mary that I’ve seen. :)

The turkey (or was it chicken) pot pie at Liberty Tree Tavern looks like the one that they served at the Walnut Room at Marshall Fields. It had a puff pastry on top of the chicken pot pie instead of a pie crust. It was really good.

Although we always get the Ooey Goey dessert when we eat there I would love a bowl of strawberries and blueberries too :)
