I messed up and didn't realize VIP tours could be booked 60 days out. Anyway for the time I am at Disney the tours are completely booked including the wait list.... Anyone have any luck with last minute openings? Do I call back each week before my trip? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

They should have a waitlist you can put your name on. Another option, assuming your group is <10 people, would be looking for someone who already has a tour booked and get them to let you join, in exchange for splitting the cost. There are Facebook Groups (try searching "Disney VIP Tour Share") where people try to connect with others to share costs. You can't have more than 10 people though, without paying for a 2nd guide.

I snagged a last minute cancellation spot 3 days before the day we wanted scheduled. I literally called every day that week - three days in a row before I got lucky with grabbing the opening. As the CM explained to me, especially in the same week, people do cancel within days of their reservation. Its no guarantee of course, but to your question, it is possible.
