VIP Tour

We've done one. The VIP guide will pick you up at your hotel, drive you to whatever park you want to go to and, (if you have PH), shuttle you from park to park depending on what you want to do. They basically act as an instant FP+ to any ride or attraction that has FP+ and can get you premier seating for shows and fireworks.

I can't really comment on worth because we were comped the tour for a day. I, personally, would only do it if I wanted to tour the parks over the holiday season, if it was a once-and-done trip or if I wanted to see and do a lot in a short period of time.

Has anyone done the VIP tour for WDW? Was it worth the money? What were some of the perks?:flower:

We do. We've done two VIP days per trip for the last several years, and my opinion is that it's money well spent. We spend one day split between Epcot and DHS, and the second exclusively at MK. Our guide picks us up at our resort [BLT], shuttles us to the park(s) in his SUV, and by now knows us well enough that he's like part of the family. It's not front of the line access, but it's as close as you're going to get as the guides are able to access all FP+ lines as well as secure VIP seating for shows and parades. We usually just do a quick counter service lunch, but if we wanted to do a table service, they're able to book that too [no character meals though, I believe].

Is it for everyone? No. A lot of people see it as wasted money. For us, though, it works well. We range from 83- to 8-years-old and it's really nice just being able to walk into a park and not worry about FP+ reservations, ADR times, etc. while knowing that, heck, if we want another spin on TSMM, we won't be facing a 90-minute wait.

I know I would love paying 200-300 for someone at disney to wait while I ride haunted mansion (yes that is what you end up paying for the time it takes to ride the ride).

Not worth it in my mind.

We've done it a couple times. Is it "worth it"? No way! But.. Is it awesome? Yes!

We like the personal tour guide nature and the private car transportation (with car seats). But something like this will never be "worth it".

i used the VIP service to take my elderly mom and sister to WDW.
i didn't think we'd make it for the full day, but we actually did a full 12 hours with him..

was it worth it? probably in that situation yes, as i don't think i could have taken them through disney any other way..

did i personally enjoy it? not really, as i much prefer a slow, meandering sort of approach to WDW....plus i'd always rather be with DH, DD and DS than anyone else (they weren't with me on that trip).

would i do it again? if i had money to burn, probably...but only if DH, DD and DS wanted to...

i know people who only do disney that way...they go several times a year for 2 or 3 days each time, using VIP each day...so clearly for them it's worth the money..

We are dipping our toes into the VIP experience this summer with the VIP Thrills tour. It hits some highlights at most of the parks. If we like it, we might splurge on the full VIP experience sometime!
