Vinylmation - who gets it? Who Doesn't

I don't care for them but my son collects them ~ has most of them actually and really enjoys them
I collect the Vinylmation pins and I have a few of the figures from the special events like MNSSHP, Spectacle of Lights and Holidays Around the World and Flower and Garden Festival.
They do seem to be a popular new thing to collect but they definitely don't appeal to everyone like trading pins do.
Disney is trying to make Vinylmations a BIG thing by introducing new trading contraptions in the resorts and holding the first ever Vinylmation Show at Epcot in August.​

I only like the park versions of the vinylmation. I have one that I got at my DLR trip because I couldn't find a movie-release day pin at DLR. It now sits on my bed-shelf (I got the pink carousel one) I don't like the clear ones or the urban ones.

I didn't get them either but then a friend gave us the collection from Parks 1 and now we are hooked! But I am afraid they will be like pins and they will just keep pumping out more and more and you won't be able to keep up!

I also feel that if Disney continues, they will make so many series and designs it will be overwhelming.

Jack got into collecting them during our Christmas trip. He saw them in August, and thought about them until we came back at Christmas. I thought the Holiday ones were very cute, but I don't like the idea of buying something sight unseen, especially at $10 a pop.
