Hi All! I trust you all to point me in the right direction. I am trying to determine an accurate value/asking price for a vinylmation that I bought during a visit to WDW. I've noticed it selling on ebay for a good bit of $ and I'd like to sell it. Can you suggest a good site or source for researching it? It is a 9" and is signed by the artist. I don't want to overprice it but I don't want to undercut myself either. Where to look?

Thanks!
Kim

You might want to keep an eye out on eBay to see how much similar items are going for.

I have been doing that. That's actually why I'm thinking of selling because I am SHOCKED at how much this thing is going for. There are none listed now but the exact same thing just sold for over $400. I guess I better just list and see what happens. I can always do a reserve price. Just curious if that was a fluke or if it's actually got that kind of value. I bought it because I thought it looked cool and figured I'd sell it down the road eventually but after seeing it sell on there I'm thinking why wait?!

What's the vinylmation that you have?

ebay is going to be the best resource to see the current price but can be tough on more limited items that don't go up for auction much. Just keep an eye on the sold listings on ebay.

Thanks! A couple of dis'ers directed me to a site called vinylmationworld.com which had some more background info too. I think I'm just going to list it with a reserve and see what happens. I appreciate all of the input. Just not something I know much about. It's the 9 inch Small World signed by the artist. Bought it because the clerk and Hollywood Studios said it was the last one anywhere in the park at that time and I like Small World. Msg me if you want more info. I'm going to try to do pics and stuff tonight and put it up over the wknd. I imagine it might increase in value if I hold on to it but I think I'll risk it. Maybe the team should do a show about Disney collectibles and when to part with them! I know Kevin collected pins (maybe still does?) and Pete has loads of cool pieces just in the studio alone.
