VILLIANS LAND

I guess it’s an American thing?
In Australia we like to let our kids play without being hovered over

The little mermaid play zone at Tokyo is amazing I just wish the US parks would have more free play spaces and less lines for kids
Its staggering they dont have play spaces at the theme parks. They give everyone down time from queues and allow kids some time to run around with siblings and friends away from parents. They are massive people eaters and they cost a fraction of a ride.

It would dramatically improve the park experience for families to have a giant playground.

Villians land needs to go all out with its main ride. At least as intense as guradian of galaxy or tron but longer and with a new feature that has people talking (like the jump track feature universal are putting in the donkey kong ride). And it needs to be themed to the gills. Having the coaster fly inside maleficant dragons mouth would be awesome.

Im actually hoping its a super cool land but intense is not what i want with every new ride. I mean if i want intense all the time i can go to Universal. Why cant Disney be Disney?

Because disney already have too many rides aimed at the under 5 crowd. Kids over the age of six need something more intense. My 6 year olds favourite ride is GOG and snow white mine ride. And there arent many rides this intense in the parks. When a park is lacking rides that are not intense enough for a 6 year old then the park has a major balance problem.

Plus i was only talking about one ride. The second ride can be a slow moving dark ride.

I would prefer something along the intensity of Remy - rather than an all out roller coaster of some type…like GotG and TRON and the new Monsters ride - I’d like something more on the ground…since I don’t do coasters - which is why I don’t go to Universal

not all kids need something intense. My almost 9 year old thinks Pirates is too intense. So not everyone wants or needs intense rides. There are plenty at WDW, Disneyland is better for younger kids, there are a lot more dark rides and it's a reason we love Disneyland more than WDW.

And as for play spaces, if you've ever been to the amazing land that is Toon Town at Disneyland you can see what Disney has done there with a perfect play space for kids. That land is PACKED full of people and kids just playing and having an absolute ball. And then you go to Galaxy's Edge and it is a dead zone.
Disney should realise what people want by now.

Im not going to argue with you or agree with you. Seems like there are lines ling enough for many other other rides. If ToT, Rise, Slinky and a slew of others dont cut it for some 6 year olds, its nice that Universal is a choice. As a 54 year old i guess ill be sauntering up to those lines with no wait then, cause i like them.

They can go all out with new technology and make an amazing experience ride that isn't super intense. Maybe they can make this mix work with the new land. Can't wait to see what they do.

So much excitement around all this, it really bonds us fans together, doesn't it? I as well hope they don't cut the budget on any of these new lands give the fans what they deserve after years of price hikes. I have wanted a nighttime parade back for so long, I was hoping for Spectra Magic or Main Street Electrical Parade to return, a whole new experience could be even better than a return of a classic, can't wait.

I was also hoping for the return of the Animal Kingdom parade does anyone else miss that afternoon parade at Animal Kingdom Park from early 2000's it went away around 2010 or a bit after I think. I always thought that was a very good parade.

Love afternoon parades/special events at all parks for sure. I'm always not sure about AK park since the animals have to be the priority in designing any park experiences. Would like to have it back as long as it wasn't discontinued in consideration of the animals.

Again, i was talking about 1 of the 2 rides. Not both. Surely it would be good for 1 ride to have some thrills while the other doesnt (and tron and gog arent exactly extreme thrill rides in any case - most people ranging from older children to 65 year olds enjoy them).

Universal also is not an extreme thrill ride park. Its just a standard park with lots of non thrill rides and only 2 rides that could be considered extreme thrill. Its disneyworld that veers way to much from the norm and caters too much to a niche market of people who dont like even the mildest of thrills in rides whilst trying to brand itself as the best theme park in the world. If it wants to be the latter then it needs to cater to everyone. Not primarily one group. A lot of people are dispointed by the lack of rides that provide some thrills. The immersion is through the roof with disney. But it desperately needs a better balance of non thrill to thrill rides to make it more enjoyable for the whole family. Older siblings and parents shouldnt be bored at wdw whilst just the younger sibling and the grandparents have a good time.

Sounds like you want an amusement park not a theme park. I bet your kids would like Six flags or Universal much better.

We got to be in that parade riding on a float!!

They had a parade. For many years. It was not loud or huge as it had to fit on the narrow path allowing room for guests. I think because they anticipated attendance up with Pandora it really became a space issue.

I want a big budget disney theme park with amazing immersion that provides a sufficient amount of high quality rides for all age groups so the whole family has the time of their lives. Is this too much to ask?

Ps. I dont like extreme thrill rides. But there should be 1 or 2 at disney for those that do. At the moment there is zero.

Thats what I’m saying… I think that’s what makes it a Disney theme park.

Im fine with loosing what we are loosing in MK to make way for these expansions. I mean that area is pretty much useless taking up space anymore. I know I know alot are upset. It's not like we are loosing a major ride or show.

I really hope this doesn't get scaled back. I know those beautiful"drawings" always end up looking kinda different but this can be so great if done properly. so great. . . lets all hope for it to come to reality. . . and not in like 8 years. . .

universal is going to really really put the pressure on the mouse. their new park looks amazing. it's impressive. everything they have been doing past 10 years has been impressive.
