I vaguely remember this coming up in the past. I think he wants an attraction on the level of Velocicoaster, so no, that's not enough.

Somethign with same thrill as guardians or everest would be fine.

Regarding the rumors, does anyone truly think they gave the actual green light for a Madame Medusa themed restaurant??? That part of the article feels like they were straight up trolling us, or at least that's the vibe I got. But then again, maybe I'm in the wrong for not taking it too seriously?

That's pretty sus. Would you be served by orphans forced to dive fora lost diamond? Doens't make much sense.

While I agree the Madam Medusa restaurant seemed super suspicious on first glance (to the point where it feels like a joke), her lair is a big abandoned river boat - and after Disney closed the rivers of america to build these new lands, maybe they were looking for a way to repurpose part of the river boat exterior for a restaurant to find it a new home.

I've considered this line of reasoning as well, and it seems like it probably was at least an idea at some point over the past 30 odd years, or perhaps even very recently, but I find it hard to believe that they collectively decided in 2024/2025 "yep, the Madame Medusa restaurant is our best idea out of all the proposed ideas so let's go ahead and get it started".

All that to say, I feel like the article's source used one of the more obscure ideas that were potentially proposed at some point over the years (or perhaps more recently) in order to show a stark contrast to what they are actually doing.

And I guess my point is: just because an idea was thrown out there at some point in time (whether it be recent or not), or, just for the sake of argument, even greenlit for a different iteration of a hypothetical Villains land, say, 25 years ago, doesn't mean they were sincerely moving forward with it post-2024 D23 announcement. If it comes out that it really was going to happen then I can't say that isn't a fascinating story I'd love to hear how it all came to be.
