villa location

Hi Everyone

This is my first post so I'm a little apprehensive about getting everything right. Must admit that I've been a lurker here for quite a while!

For our first trip to Disney in 2001 we stayed onsite at ASM but this time have decided to try a villa

We have booked a fly drive with Virgin for 31st July to 21st Aug 2005 and I now need to get a villa sorted out Has anyone out there ever stayed in Florida Pines.

Would appreciate any hints or tips about best areas etc.

Last September we stayed at a villa in 'Westridge' just off I27 which is about 20 mins from the Disney parks and about 35 from International Drive. The villa and and the area were very nice and we felt secure as the complex had security gates. We never minded the journey to and from Disney as we drove past numerous restaurants and shops (like Publix) so we could get stocked up!

We stayed on Florida Pines last year

Location was great - a Publix nearby and we were on the 192 in 5 minutes, then made use of the Sherbeth road shortcut to get onto Disney property.

We have stayed at Florida Pines 3 or 4 times now, cant count this morning, and always are amazed at how quite and tranquil it is after a hectic time at the parks. Very nice setting and only 5 minutes from the 192. You will have a great time.
