Viggle App: Get rewards for watching television!

I just cashed out for a travelocity card and the terms say up to 4.

Thanks!

Where are you seeing the terms? On the certificate?

It would be nice to have someplace to read these before I cash in! Maybe there is something I don't know......

I saw this post and started using this app earlier today (already up to 2,383 points) but I have a lot of questions:

Typically I watch shows on DVR, I’ve had success getting viggle to recognize these shows, but the points I earn are not in even numbers. Do I need to “check-in” for these shows on the hour in order to get full credit even if it’s DVR?

Also, I understand there are bonus points, but in general, do some shows earn more than others? I ask because I received 287 points for my DVR’d episode of Private Practice, but only 48 for for The Chew.

And, if you set a reminder, do you actually have to be near a TV to check in? Could you just manually check in if the show is live?
Lastly, is there a strategy to maximize your points? I like the CSPAN idea while you sleep.

Thanks in advance for any input you can provide! I just love the DIS!

Are you checking into a new show before your DVR show would be over if you were watching it normally?

What I mean by that is, are you fast forwarding commercials and then checking into your next show. It is giving you points for the length of time you are checked into the show, not for how long the show is.

hmm, maybe I'm doing something wrong. I"m not actually checking out of the show. I started the DVR show, checked in and didn't check into something else for at least one hour.

When you select the reward, you know how it's at the bottom of your screen and you can use your finger and swipe it up a bit, that's where you'll see more information about the reward - there may be a place there, too, to tap for more information - I don't remember exactly and I don't have wifi right now to check.

I'm so ticked Best Buy went up! Decreasing ease of getting points and increasing the cost of rewards....grrrrrrr

Now I have to change my strategy...It seems like a lot of the cards sold out this weekend

A. 4-6 weeks
B. Soon
C. Very soon

Take your pick but none of them will be correct!! :rotfl2:

By the time the Andriod app hits the street watching an ad will give you maybe a point if we are lucky and shows will be 50 points.

Love it! :rotfl2: I guess A. It's been "4 to 6 weeks" since February.

Totally agree about the points prediction by the time Android comes out. Or if Viggle doesn't decrease points, then I think they will hike up the point value of the other GCs.

ETA: forgot to mention. I think this is why the Android app hasn't come out yet. I think Viggle is "massaging" their format before more users come into play. Otherwise Viggle will go bankrupt.

We had free Chili's tonight thanks to Viggle! :thumbsup2

And I used the free kids meals w/ adult purchase coupon too so we got 6 free kids meals plus 3 adult meals for just shy of $42 including tax and tip. And I was able to order it all online so we didn't even have to actually eat out. ;)

There you go, maybe there isn't a limit! :rotfl2:

I feel sorry for those cashiers. Apparently with Lowe's e-cards, the cashier has to type in the full set number plus the pin for each one. :headache:

I had previously heard and read that too. As a matter of fact, a good friend told me the same so I was prepared to be patient when I went in this past weekend to redeem 8 of them for $40 towards my vegetable garden. I made a comment to the cashier, "I sure hope you can scan these" and she said, "me too!". She scanned it, worked fine and she only typed something very short in afterwards. I don't know if it was the PIN or the amount but I can tell you w/out a doubt she was able to scan mine! :cool1: My friend went to a different Lowes and she's been saving up for a new hot water heater so I told her to find my cashier at my Lowes! :rotfl2:

Yep - me too! I'll keep aiming for the Target ones for now but I expect those to disappear soon - although I'm surprised they are still there. But then again, if it takes most people weeks to get 50,000 no wonder they're still around! :rotfl: Lowes will be my back up if they stay at 7,500 as I can always put those to good use.

Has anyone tried to take a Starbucks egift card to Starbucks and have them fund a real plastic gift card that way? I know I can load my own card that way but this might be a good idea for Xmas and other gifts? I might try it.

I meant to ask you all - have any of you had any trouble using the paper egift cards at Target? In the past when the Target was a good reward (remember those for $5.00?) I loaded them on my phone through their mobile app. It worked ok, but then more recently the cashiers couldn't get their scanner to scan them. I decided due to that, I would just take the paper print out this time and have them scan that way, however it's 4 of them so that's a $100 now. Before I just said forget it and I'd do another day but if I'm going to get $100 worth of Disney gift cards, I need them to scan. :thumbsup2

Just curious about your experiences....;)

Thanks,
Heather

Oh, I hope the BB card stays for a while. I need 3,000 more for a card. I don't seem to be getting my bonus points tonight.

If anyone is still up I'm getting a good run of 30pt Gatorade ads under The Soup. :goodvibes

I'm still up. I didn't get the run of gatorade but I did see a few new ads. I did just have a good run of the new David Beckham H&M ad. It's only 15 points but I could watch this ad all day if it will let me!!!!!

We have one but I've never been because it's on the other side of town but I may just have to head over there sometime. Oooh, maybe they'll add H&M to the rewards since there is not much up right now.
