Viggle App: Get rewards for watching television!

Personally, I wouldn't redeem for the Kindle Fire thru Viggle. What I would do is get BB gift cards (when/if they come back) and then buy Amazon gift cards from BB usings those gc's. You will save by not paying tax (unless you live in a state where Amazon collects taxes) and you will control the shipping. Plus you have the option of purchaisng a refurbished Fire to save even more money. We recently ordered the refurbished Fire for my DS#2 for $139 and it arrived in pristine condition :thumbsup2 Saved us $60 over the new Fire and he had it in 2 days.

you may be better off cashing in for bb if they come back.. the point value is much better.

300,000 points vs 375,000

I seen a few people have their account cancelled and points lost when they had over 200,00 so personally I cash when when I can.

Good ideas, thanks!

I didn't think of doing it that way, but getting BB cards instead makes a lot of sense. I wasn't too comfortable with having that many points sitting in my account for however long it takes me. So if I buy Amazon gift cards with the BB gift cards, then I can buy the Kindle Fire from Amazon? BB will let you do that?

I check in to shows that run for long spans of time. I have recently started checking into HLN Morning express and HLN News Now. The Morning express show runs from 7am to 12pm (even longer sometimes like today) and News Now is usually 12pm to 5pm. It's perfect and covers the times I'm at work. I'll do a manual check in while I'm at work for the second show at 12pm.

Then when I get home (on nights my husband is working a 12-hour shift) I'll check in to the primetime shows for 11 min and get the bonus points. then i move on to another bonus primetime show.

I'm still looking for something to check in to overnight while i'm sleeping that would get my points for the 6-8 hours I'm in bed.

Just an FYI that in the FAQ section of Viggle, it says you are only allowed to log into TV shows for 12 hours a day.

If you are checking in during the day you aren't going to want to do a night time check-in as you will exceed your daily limit of 12 hours.

My check-ins are usually
Morning Express with Robin Meade (HLN) - 6am - Noon (6 hrs)
In Session (TRU TV) - 1pm -3pm (2 hrs)

That leaves me with 4 hours to do the featured programs in the evening.

As for the ads, it really does vary by each person. Some days I have great luck and others (like today) I get very few. The best advice I can give to those looking for ads is to not give up. Just because you aren't getting many one hour/day, doesn't mean that they won't soon come back for you :)

That's funny - I do Robin Meade, too, quite by accident the first time - didn't realize it went til noon. I pick my son up around 2 every afternoon so I do a quick check-in to CSPAN Senate and let that run til I get home - then I check into something short until time for the bonus shows.

Thanks for the heads up, I guess I'll just stick to my hln check ins and the primetime stuff. :):thumbsup2

Thanks so much!!! what's the deal with the ads, meaning if the ad keeps allowing you to play it, do you get the points for as many times as you play it or just the first 2 plays?

As long as the ads there, you can keep clicking it. Sometimes you have to 'reset' the ad to watch it again for points. After you watch the ad a pink check mark will be in the corner of the ad. Click the what's on button (bottom left) and that should refresh the ad (check mark will disappear). If it doesn't, play the ad but immediately click back out of it. Then refresh by clicking what's on. Sometimes you have to do it a couple of times. That's one of the tricks to watching some ads over and over to accumulate a lot of points a day.

I didn't know about this trick. Thanks, that helps alot!

As for Target - let me get this straight- you can take the Target reward and buy a Disney gift card at Target with it?

Yes that is what I did I redeemed enough for three so I got $75 for Disney!! :) (One 50 and one 25 gift cards I traded out at target) I am just saving for Disney so the target works great for me. I know 50,000 is a lot of points but I am happy with $75 in Disney now! :)

thank you...i did that and got 3 different ads and then on 30+ ad for 5 yr engagement stayed. One of the 3 different ads was a 75+ ad that I was hoping would stay. So as long as the pink check goes away we will get credit each time right? My points dont increase each time so just wondering :)

Yes, as long as the checkmark is gone it'll credit. Its probably just point lag. If there's an issue with an ad not crediting people will be talking about it on viggles twitter or on the slick deals thread.

Most of what is available for bonus points has to be checked in to while the show is live. I've tried to check in to DVR'd shows and it's very rare that you can. if the show you DVR'd happens to be on live TV (on any channel) while you're watching it than you can but it's rare.

I have never had trouble getting bonus points from DVR'd shows. So it may be hit or miss.

Does anybody else currently have No points listed for the 5 yr engagement video?

I really wish my Target had Disney Gift Cards. I looked the other day and there weren't any Disney just other places :(

Look in the electronics section. My Target has a rack of gift cards near the electronics counter. My Target does not have the Disney ones near the registers only near the electronics.

Yep, Viggle says that whether points are listed is dependent on their agreement with that advertiser. So when there isn't a point value listed for a video, it's that way for everyone.

I personally don't even watch videos when they remove points....I watched it so much when I got points for it! :rotfl2:

Anyone else having problems getting bonus points? I just did the biggest loser. The pop-up said 360 points but I only got 60.

Recently it seems that I've been able to check in to DVR'd shows but it really must be hit or miss because last night I checked in to GCB while watching it from the DVR but then I tried checking in to Jerseylicious from DVR and it wouldn't recognize it. Oh well, at least I got some points!

Me too, electronic section on the end of a couple aisles near the DVDs. The Disney cards are mixed in with all the other gift cards.

My Target only started carrying Disney cards a few months ago....and I live in Maryland which is pretty close to the Magic. So I'm not sure that all Targets carry Disney cards. It may depend on geographical location.

I had this problem when I checked in to Brooklyn 11223 sunday night. I got 60 points instead of 260.
