Viggle App: Get rewards for watching television!

There isn't anything of interest in the rewards section, so I've been using my points on JCPenney gift certificates for my mother for when she goes to Maine next month. I'm gunning for $150-$200 before she leaves.

I just checked the rewards section and it looks like those great movie coupons are gone. Maybe I should start cashing some of my points in. I really wanted a Target gift card but have not seen them in a while.

Has anyone done the update on the viggle app? I'm a bit skeptical...this kind of app, it seems to me, could end up taking things away or making things harder. Has anyone tried it? or know what changed?

According to Itunes the newest Viggle update was on March 6th. (Even though it was mentioned in the Viggle Newsletter today about a newer version, I'm not sure there is.)

I have the newest version as of March 6th. It's the same for me, tons of ads w/points, etc. No change from what I can tell.

Thanks!

I've been lurking but not posting...but will throw my two cents in...I'm cashing out every time I get enough for a Best Buy card. I hope they stick around, but I'm not taking the risk.

I'd love to get enough for a Kindle Fire...and I'll buy it that way vs. saving up a bunch of points! :)

better safe then sorry!

But that being said...I love viggle. as I love free stuff!

Hey, that's pretty cool for you! :cool1: Bad for her....

When she has to count her register at the end of her shift, she'll notice that she's $24 short....and then she'll realize her mistake. Looks like she treated those movie vouchers as though they were gift cards. Hope she learns for next time! :thumbsup2

That is if she ran each ticket at $11. If she did $13 a piece then there won't be a shortage.

She run each ticket at $13 a piece and gave me back $4 total for 2 tickets. I am not sure if she made a mistake or this is the way it works, because the other times we redeem this tickets we use the full amount.

Does anyone know if the movie tickets have disappeared and come back again? I am among the group that is so sad they are gone. I had enough tonight to get 6 tickets and then when I went online, they were no longer there.

Also, has anyone ever had their points not change even though the bonus points keep coming up as well as my points for watching a show? I checked in at 7 PM tonight and while I was watching, watched some of the commercials. Each time the points update box came up and I closed it. At the end of my 7 PM show, the points popped up for watching the show. Still, my points have not changed at all. This has happened in the past but it seems that suddenly my points will make a huge jump all at once...but normally faster then tonight. It has now been almost 1 hour and no change in points at all. :confused3

No, it's not the way these tickets work. They are vouchers that can be redeemed for up to $13. Here's a direct quote from the FAQs:

"No. No credit or change will be given for any unused portion of a Hollywood Movie Money certificate. Your certificate is only valid according to the restrictions stated on the certificate."

But that's the cashier's fault. Whether it shows up in her tally at the end of the night, who knows. If the cashier is that aloof and gave me the difference, I would keep the money too! :rotfl2:

I'm not getting my points tonight. I've logged out and backed in, closed out the ap, and still they're not showing up.

What is strange is that I got an email from them about upgrading to the new version. Then stated that my points are about half of what they really are? What is that about?

ok, starting to think I should get while the gettins good. Have cashed in for a Best Buy Card, and actually grabbed one more movie pass before they went away today. But, I have been intrigued by the travelocity hotel gift card, and finally read through all the fine print. It seems ok to me. You can use 4 of the gift cards for one reservation (or so it appears!). I need one night in Miami, after we return from our cruise before we fly home. I had budgeted around $100 for that night. If I get 4 of the hotel certs, then that will pay for most of the room, just leaving taxes really. I took a look and the inventory seems ok.

Am I missing something??

I think it's like any e-mail from a points program (hotel, airline or whatever). the points they show are what you had when the pulled the data to send out the e-mail. I surprised they don't send out HTML e-mail which would pull the real data, but I wouldn't worry about it.

Per Travelocitys' website -
Are there minimum night stay requirements for Vacation Gift Cards?

Sometimes. See the terms and conditions for your card to understand the booking requirements for minimum night hotel stays in vacation packages.

May I use more than one Vacation Gift Card per booking?

No. There is a limit of one Vacation Gift Card per reservation.

I've seen one on a rewards site that is $25 but requires 2 night minimum $150 purchase. Buyer (or in this case Redeemer) beware.

These are hotel gc's, not vacation. They are different. They also start with the number 4 which means up to 4 can be used for a hotel booking. Hotel and vacation cards are different.

Sometimes but not always. If your Hotel Gift Card number begins with a 4 you may use up to four gift cards per booking. If your Hotel Gift Card number begins with a 6 you may use up to four gift cards per bookng. Please note you may not combine different series of codes in the same booking. Other gift card numbers beginning with 2 or 3 may not be combined and are limited to one code per booking. If you purchased your gift card as part of a promotion, it may have special terms and conditions that take priority over what is stated on our website. See terms and conditions on your card

There is some good news about the Hollywood Movie Money! It will be coming back as a reward, although the Viggle rep doesn't exactly know when.

They did say the Hollywood Movie Money was one of the popular rewards, and my e-mail would be forwarded to their rewards team so they can see the demand for people wanting this reward.

So I suggest anyone who really wants this reward to come back, send your thoughts to ideas@viggle.com. Maybe they'll be quicker about bringing this reward back if they see the demand! :thumbsup2

Ok, so 12 minutes after my last post I notice that Hollywood Movie Money is back as a reward. It's down by the Kindle Fire....

So now it's 15,000 points for a movie ticket....still valued up to $13. Not a bad deal, certainly not as great as when it was a Viggle Deal for 8,000 points though.

But I'm still excited! :goodvibes

Yes, this is what I figured out too.

I know, I just saw that and thought the same thing. Now bring back my target card please!

I just cashed in my 5th reward today! I have earned $50 in itunes gift cards since joining (it was right before the Oscars.)

I've got my eyes on the Best Buy GCs. The only time we shop there is for Christmas gifts, so this will be a nice splurge! So far I have $50 in Best Buy GCs.
