Viewing Wishes Elsewhere?

Is there a place where you can see Wishes and not be in MK?

Yes, you can see it from the Polynesian Resort beach and the Contemporary Resort 4th floor. I have never watched from the Grand Floridian so I am not sure about that. You can also watch from Ft. Wilderness as well and they have a wagon ride that will take you to a good spot and plug in the music as well!

You could watch Wishes while having dinner at California Grill in the Contemporary. They pipe the music in there also and it's a great view from the 15th floor.

Do you have to be a guest at the Poly?

No, you can enjoy the resort and it's shops, restaurants, etc. without being a guest at that resort. Just can't swim at another resort. Resort hopping is encouraged (more $$$ spent that way!)

Can I only get to the different resorts from the Transportation Center?
I'll be staying at Pop but if I want to get to one of the resorts from one of the parks I believe I just get on the resort bus, but if I want to go from the Poly to the Pop how do I do that?

Actually you can EASLILY watch it from the Ferry Landing at the TTC. Just walk out to where the Ferry comes in and you can even hear the music piped in. It's a GREAT view and in fact I think it rivals the view of that INSIDE the Magic Kingdom because of the reflection from the water. Also the sound is just awesome from the shells.

I'm giggling at your "location"! My inlaws vacation in Hawaii every year and this year they brought DS4 a shirt with the Humuhumunukunukuapuaa on it and FIL told him he had to learn to say the name before he would take him to Hawaii. Let's just say that's our new favorite word around here, and DS can't wait to see the real thing !

I know you asked for places outside of MK, but this might be of interest for you. We made PS for Crystal Palace so that we would be there during the fireworks, it worked out nicely because we were able to step right out on the front porch during our meal and watch the fireworks. It was a perfect view and we were able to see Tink fly.

We also saw Wishes from the balcony at the California Grill. It was a totally different experience than at the Crystal Palace. They were both very memorable and the kids enjoyed both. I would recommend either of these choices.

How do I get there from the parks?

If you mean the ferry landing:

from the MK: you simply take the monorail back to the TTC, and then walk over to the ferry station.

OR

Simply take the ferry to the TTC station and watch.


From epcot: take the monorail to the TTC, then walk over to the ferry landing.


From the MK parking lot: Simply park and take the tram to the TTC and walk to the ferry landing.

We're cheerful believers in the ferry landing at the TTC. Then you hightail it outta there before the crowd comes pouring out behind you.
