Question-

My family and I will be staying at Old Key West for a very short stay in August. While we are there we will going to Wilderness Lodge for a meal. My husband really wants to stay there for our next big trip. So my question is will they let us see in inside of a DVC room if there is one that is unoccupied? Thanks!

You can ask at the front desk. If there is a villa unoccupied and clean they will usually allow guests to take a look at any of the DVC resorts. Sometimes a CM will accompany you there and sometimes they will just provide a key.

Enjoy! :)

When we were looking into DVC, we asked to see a room at BCV. There weren't any unoccupied, but the manager walked us to a regular room and explained the difference. They were very nice about it, so I would think the same would be true at VWL. We stayed at the WL (non DVC) on our trip last Sept. and LOVED it!

Last October, we went to all of the resorts to take a look at some of the units. The CM's at the front desk were very accommodating and allowed us to visit several rooms (as long as they were unoccupied). We also went to Saratoga and walked through the model units at the DVC center.

Thanks for asking this question. We always visit the other resorts, but never thought to ask to check out the units. Will definitely do this on our upcoming trip! :cool1:

if the front desk is busy or don't have any rooms available to show you, the pics on the internet really do give you a pretty good idea of what to expect IMO...
