What is the best time for viewing Illuminations from the Rose & Crown Pub? I am visiting in September so I think the fireworks start at 9pm.

Can you book this with a PS?

Hi Kevin

yes you can do this with an AR/PS.;)

We did this in April, booking the PS about 30 days out for 7.40pm. When we arrived at the Rose and Crown we requested a table on the terrace and were seated at 8.20. We had a great view of Illuminations and stayed at our table until the crowds had dispersed. Service was very good, food ok and Illuminations excellent.:goodvibes

Happy planning!
Regards
Rosie

We made our ps for 7:00 p.m. by the time we got a table it was about 7:15 and 7:20 which was perfect timing. When you check in at the podium you can request an outside table. First time we had a great seat on the bottom tier but second time we were sat in the upper tier which has a restricted view. You can however leave your table and go to the viewing gallery, if your food is on the way they will take it back and keep it warm for you.

If it's your first time viewing illuminations I would definitely go to the viewing gallery if not on the bottom tier as it really is a restricted view on the top.

I have to ask this: why are you going to a facsimile of a British pub when you live near dozens of real ones?

I thought something looked "wrong" about all the buildings in the UK section of Epcot -- I've come to the conclusion they're not tall enough. Proper Victorian/Tudor/Elizabethan/Georgian properties have 12' high ceilings. Look at this photo -- there's no way the lamppost should be taller than the ground floor...

Carl, a couple of points...

The only reason I am going to a facsimile of a British pub is so my wife, 3 year old daughter and myself can have a nice meal and watch the iluminations without having to find a decent place to stand in Epcot for over an hour, kids get bored standing for that long...

Also I don't drink and hate pubs, so it wouldn't even matter if I lived above one here in Nottingham, I wouldn't be going in it anyway.

Unless there is somewhere else to sit and eat in Epcot whilst watching the fireworks that's the place I'll be eating in.

HI

we would recomend a ps for around 7pm.we had a ps for 7.30pm but never got a table till 8.20 and then got put inside although we did request a terrace table.this meant a real rush to see the fireworks.

Youre ps is only a request and you are not guaranteed to get a table at that time.we were there in october which was not that busy.

The food was ok but the drink was very expensive. In my opinion there are better dining experiences in Epcot. One think in the UK land not to miss is the beatles tribute band they were excellent!!!

nick and sara :umbrella:

We made our PS at Guest Relations on the day (4th May) for 7.00pm and we got our table about 7.40. When the server took our order she asked if we'd like to stay for the fireworks. She came to collect us from our table at about 8.50 and took us outside to a roped off area on the lower terrace which had a brilliant view of the fireworks. This was a really nice surprise so I wouldn't be worried if you don't get an outside table.

Kevin,
Try the 'Cantina' in Mexico; this is supposed to be as good a view as the 'Rose and Crown'.This is supposed to be a fast food counter but leading up to Illuminations time I'm sure people will not be eating as fast!!!!

PJ :teeth: 27 DAYS TO GO..... :hourglass

Beatles tribute act? Oasis are playing there? :)

LOL, Kevin!

Just to say - we ate in the R&C in December and were very pleasantly surprised with the service and food.
